The vet recommended this food as my dog is a picky eater and someday she won't eat for three or four days and then often she will get bloody stool or mucus in her stool and she is very underweight. She seems to be loving your food she still doesn't eat regularly every day, but when she does eat it, she eats the entire bowl

Our dog has a strange habit of lying quietly to the side while we put food in his dish - perhaps training from his life before he was rescued off the streets. That training goes out the window when we get a box of JustFoodForDogs out of the pantry. He doesn't jump on us, but there is a lot of sitting at attention and drooling. That plus the licked-clean bowl makes us think he might like this stuff!

After finding out that grain free food causes heart disease in dogs, I’ve been trying out different foods with whole grains and this is one of the best! My dogs just love it!

I wanted to try this fresh food for dogs and this product falls way below all other fresh foods. The reason is the amount of carbohydrates included. There are too many healthy food options to make a balanced meal, why include carbohydrates? Just Food for Dogs company seems to agree, because they have deleted my comments and questions regarding this and appear to want to silence me. In the words of a well known expert on pet and species specific nutrition, Dr. Karen Becker: "I recommend you steer clear of any commercial pet food that contains a high percentage of carbs, no matter your dog’s age or weight. The presence of excessive carbohydrates (starch) in commercial pet food is marketed to consumers as a healthy addition for "energy", very similar to how carbs are marketed in human food. Carbohydrates in excess of 20% can offset the amount of protein from meat that’s necessary for a healthy body to function over time."

Predominately rice. Granted my guy is a picky eater, but he at least trys a new food. This he just sniffed, licked a bit and walked away.

The ingredients did not agree with my dog. He was having gastrointestinal issues and he didn’t care for it, most likely because it was making him feel sick.

I got this as a gift from a doggie friend.My fluffy loves it and also help his tummy not hurting anymore maybe because of brown rice.

I love Just Food for Dogs. Cocoa’s gobbles it up. She’s usually very picky. But not with this food. I love how healthy it is for pets.
