The Only Food My Dog Will Eat

Will D.

This is one of the only recipes my dog will eat - he also loves the beef and rice recipe. All other food requires doctoring up with extra goodies, but he will eat this right up and come back for more every time.

Love pantry fresh

I love pantry fresh food as well as the fresh frozen food. I use the pantry fresh when we are on the go and to fill enrichment toys! I love all the options from just food for dogs and what it has done for my pup!

many of these fresh/whole foods are healthy, but many my dogs don't like, they love this!

So I want fresh/whole human grade foods for my dogs and I want my dogs to love it. This is one that they all eat well, so we're all happy! I rotate between 4 different brands to keep them in a good variety and for good gut health. Some of the others some of my dogs like, but this one (and the other three I use), all 4 of my dogs love, so this one is a keeper!

Not her favorite

Marian C.

My dog is getting increasingly picky in her middle age and this does not seem to be her favorite of the JFFD offerings. I often find that she leaves behind a lot of the rice, so perhaps the protein to filler ratio is slightly lower than for some of the other recipes. However, she likes variety so I appreciate having the option to swap the lamb recipe in from time to time.

IBD and EPI = difficult to feed

Jessica M.

Our 5 year old dog was diagnosed with EPI and IBD a little over 2 years ago. We have been messing with her food ever since. She had been on a variety of prescription diets. I have begun introducing this food into her diet to hopefully encourage some weight gain and to encourage her to eat. With her GI issues, we are taking it very, very slowly, but so far, so good. No indication of allergies and she is eating. Stools are still good. I add the digestive enzymes to it without issues. We're about 2 weeks in now.

Questions

If I am using this as a topper, how do I divide it with his current dry food? I used your calculator and he's to get 3.5 cups per day of this blend.

  1. I feed this food to both my small dogs portioned with a protein chicken ground turkey to stretch the food or sprinkle freeze dried. If you are using dry food I would suggest portion and mix as a topper. 3.5 cups pet day is without any dry food! portion what you feel is best for your dog

What is the serving size?

  1. 1 12.5oz box is for up to 22lb daily. my dog is 60lbs so he gets 3 boxes per day. I split between 2 meals - half in morning and the other half at night.

With the pantry grade food, what is the quantity of each package?

  1. 12.5oz per box
