I have been making a homemade diet for my dog whom has dietary restrictions due to bladder stones but am unsure how many cups to feed him daily(he doesn’t like the urinary prescription food.) He weighs 98 lbs. His homemade diet includes eggs, fat free cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, green beans, carrots, rice, potatoes, yams, and fruit. What proportions of protein to carbs to veg/fruit should be included in each meal and how many cups a day is appropriate?
We have stopped using canned dog food and now make a fresh mixture of peas, beans, carrots and sweet potatoes mixed with ground turkey, beef OR chicken. We would like to stop feeding them dry food all together. Can we do this and if so should we give them a doggie vitamin? we have a 3yr GS, 8yr GSP and 10 yr lab mix. thank you

I want to make a balanced home cooked diet for my dog. What supplements should I add? Thank you!
Hello, I need help on finding the best homemade dog food recipe/ full supplement for a dog with a history of acute pancreatitis. For the past month my dog has been on a home cooked diet consisting of (lean ground beef, rice, nonfat cottage cheese, pumpkin squash, broccoli) he hasn’t had any recurring issues. I found a multivitamin called (GNC pets multivitamin plus). Is this a good product should I add salmon oil for extra omega 3 and should I add anything to his food such as chicken liver?
I recycle preconsumer food waste for a living. I have a TON (literally) of dehydrated carrot and I want to make treats for my dogs. Any advice on what to make sure to include or exclude? I want to make healthy treats insteading of giving them store bought ones. thanks! Chad
My 3 year old 23lb. male corgi has a history of developing cystine crystals in his urinary tract and was put on Hill's U/D canned food as a result. I have been reading online about alkaline diets and was wondering if we could prepare food for him at home that would be sufficient in preventing the formation of the cystine crystals. The food he is on currently is very expensive ($42-$46 every 12 days). How can we determine the correct amount of homemade food or his weight and breed?
I would really like to start making my own dog food. All the fillers and preservatives don't make me comfortable now that I've had yet another dog diagnosed with cancer. However, I want to do it right. I can't find enough information about their nutritional requirements to do this and I don't want to guess. Where can I find this information or are there other options around the unknown ingredients in my dogs' food? Thank you in advance
Is it good to give my dog homemade dog food
Hello. I'm an owner of a West Highland White Terrier. She's having some digestive and skin conditions where she sometimes vomit. I'm considering switching her diet from dry dog food kibble to a fresh food subscription plan provided by a company. Here are the details of the fresh food meal. May you please give me some advice on whether I should go for the fresh food subscription plan. They claimed that their meal exceed the aafco standard. Attached is my dog's info and the fresh food profile.
I have decided to prepare Nala's food at home as opposed to store bought dog food. What would I need to add to a recipe containing following: Beef Liver 3lbs Lamb Hearts 2lbs Beef Tripe 1lb Ground Chicken 5 lbs Water - as need to incorporate beef stew bones 3lbs Brussel Sprouts .5 lb Butternut Squash 1lb Pink Himalayan Salt- 1 tbl I did cook all of this, although I know that raw is better, and then ground it all together.
which dog food is the best for my dog with allergies and an enlarged heart
