Dear Experts, We are from The Hockaday School and are working to make an original dog food with only natural ingredients. We were wondering if our idea is successful and original. We would appreciate it if you looked at our recipe and could help us alter or work on it. Recipe: • Pork = 40 grams • Chicken = 40 grams • Salmon = 40 grams • Peanuts = 10 grams • Sunflower seeds = 10 grams • Basil = 10 grams • Rosemary = 10 grams • Oregano = 10 grams • Sweet potatoes = 20 grams • Carrots = 20 grams
My 14 year old American Pit Mix has a food allergy and we did an elimination diet. I am concerned that she may not be getting enough nutritional value while trying to figure out what she cannot handle. I make her food in a rice cooker. Daily meal split to feed her twice a day: 2 cups of dry rice Makes about 7 to 9 cups cooked 1/4 cup blueberries 2 oz white fish Added after cooked: 1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots 1 TBS of peanut butter powder 5 pumps of Salmon Oil
im cooking home made diet i need to know how many oz of cooked chicken breast to feed (i will be adding veggies and a multi vitamin is there any multi vitamin you recomend) and will add in chicken heart iv all ready tried diffrent brands of dry dog food leaving it out for days and starving her she just wont eat or canned she wont eat canned too
How to make dog food for my 6 lb dog.
I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
I want to prepare a homemade diet for my 6 month old havanese puppy . It consists the following , chicken meal , chicken organs(liver, heart, neck) ,pumpkin ,carrot ,mustard greens ,apples, yogurt, seaweed ,red lentil ,barley . She is currently eating acana small breed kibble but she doesn't like the taste of it . Would you help me modify my dog's diet to avoid any possible deficiencies ?
What is a proper homemade diet? I live in India and have the availability of fresh chicken, rice and vegetables. My vet adviced to feed her dry food twice a day and homemade food once. My pup is 4 months old now. What quantity per serving would be appropriate for her? And how much chicken and how much rice and vegetables would fit her diet?
We have 2 large breed dogs. One is 75 pounds and one is 125 pounds. How much protein , rice or oatmeal, and vegetable should we be feeding them to keep them healthy and thriving? Both dogs have trouble with dry food and suffer with loose stools.
Is Blue Buffalo life protection formula senior food OK for dogs with diabetes? It has chicken and brown rice...
Is it okay to switch my dog to homemade dog food completely? He has been on a bland diet of chicken and rice per instructions from our vet and he seems to like it better than kibble. How would I make sure he is getting the proper nutrients/vitamins?
How to weight my dogs dry food without a kitchen scale any tips And is this dry food good ?
