When Introducing new ingredients we recommend a slow introduction over the course of 3 to 5 days. 1 chew for dogs up to 25 lbs, 2 chews dogs between 26-50 lbs, 3 chews 50 lbs or larger.

Can a 4 month old puppy eat a calming chew?
Our vet suggested Composure Soft Chews for one of our dogs. We recently adopted him and he's probably just over a year but acts like a hyper 6 month old puppy. Can we also use it for our 12 yr old dog that takes Prozac for anxiety during those extra stress times like trash day? She also gets Sileo Oromucosal Gel for thunderstorms. Thank you!
Hi, Doctor, thank you for taking my question. I have a 13 yr old Maltese male and he is very aggressive to other dogs. My daughter will bring her Australian sheepdog puppy to our house on Thanksgiving. I'm thinking of giving my dog some organic hemp/valerian calming chews (hemp seed oil 125 mg & hemp protein powder 75 mg). Considering my dog's age, do you see any problem with that?
I got this from chewy.com and need to know how much to give my dog and how often.
Is it safe to give calming supplements when my dog is already on Gabapentin? She takes 100mg Gabapentin for anxiety every 12 hours. She still gets very stressed when I leave and barks, howls, and scratches. Is it safe to combine with calming chews with ingredients like 100 mg Chamomile, 50 mg Thiamine Mononitrate, 50 mg Passion Flower, 50 mg Ginger, 30 mg L-Tryptophan, 20 mcg Melatonin? Or is there another safe calming chew you’d recommend? Pheromones have not worked. Ideally to be taken daily.
Is it a good idea to give my dog a pumpkin digestive supplement by fruitables? She has to have her anal glands expressed regularly so I thought this might help. It says to replace 10% of her food with the pumpkin supplement. She is eating 3/4 of a cup total per day. How much of the pumpkin supplement would I give daily?
I am looking for a multivitamin for my 11 year old Chesapeake retriever and my 9 year old rat terrier. My cheesie was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy and is getting worse. I started home cooking for him because he has major food allergies. I can’t find anything for dogs that isn’t flavored with chicken is a big big trigger. Nikki eats core wellness grain free ocean flavor. Being using VetriScience, her itchiness from unknown allergy hasn't improved. 1) do dogs need vitamins? I have prosense all life stages multi vitamins that are almost gone Idk if I should debuy. Extra vitamins or just dog food vitamins which is healthier option? 2) are Calming Herbal treats safe? Read that herbal stuff unregulated and can cause damage. Is thunderspray safer? Both work
How many egg and cheese flavored Charlee Bear treats can my very active German Shepherd have a day? We use them for training and would like to keep using them with them being worked into her diet. She gets IAMS Proactive Health Adult Large Bree’s food. Around 3.5 to 4.5 cups a day (1,225-1,575 calories a day) plus a Hill’s Science Diet Flexi-Stix treat for her joints (30 calories a day).
