1) Remove one test strip from bottle and replace cap tightly. 2) Hold strip at end with no pads. Dip Strip. (all pads) into aquarium water and remove immediately. 3) Do no shake excess water from strip. 4) Hold strip level to allow colors to develop. 5) At 30 seconds, compare Nitrate pad to color charts provided. 6) Record results and dispose of test strip.

I believe my 50 lbs. 1yr. old bulldog has a u.t.i. due to long use of predinisone. Anyway, I just received ph test strips. What range would let me know if it is u.t.i.? The strips ph range are 5.5-8.0, There were no other instructions in the pack.

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. I was having 6 fishes in which 2 were small silver gold fishes,2 Angle fishes and 2 gold fishes. The both silver gold fishes died as well as one angle fish. I don't know why they all keep dying as I have provided them with good water, filter,and food.

Most people don’t have the money and space to run a quarantine tank. When introducing new fish (without visible ich spots) could I assume that there are ich tomites. Could I do an ich treatment and prevent a full outbreak. ( I have just been through an outbreak and lost all my fish.)
