Place a 2.5-3 inch layer of BioBedding Tropical in your enclosure. Add dechlorinated water until BioBedding sticks together when squeezed, but no water runs out. BioBedding Tropical does not require a drainage layer if used with light or hand misting. For automatic misting setups, use in conjunction with a 2" layer of False Bottom and a Substrate Barrier. Stir the surface of BioBedding Tropical every 1-2 weeks with a fork, or if waste is visible. Burying waste allows microfauna to process it quicker. Change the substrate when it begins to break down - typically after several years. Please note that Biobedding Tropical is designed to grow fungi - this is not a sign of a dirty tank, but of a healthy, clean bioactive environment.

first of all, thanks for your advice with my african dwarf frogs! after the aquarium salt bath they are doing great and even look more vibrant now! i was wanting to know what substrate would be best in the tank. would sand be okay or would they eat that like the gravel? i have a heavily planted aquarium and need something to keep the plants in place but i dont want my frogs to eat it and have something happen to them. i find conflicting information when i research it online. thanks!
what size cage does an adult bearded dragon need? what substrate should I use? is bioactivity possible with bearded dragons?
I am setting up a new habitat for my 2 sibling gerbils. I want it to be as natural of a habitat as their ancestors in the wild live in. Which substrate would you recommend that would be as natural as they would receive in their desert environment?
Currently I am using calcium sand. It doesn’t seem to be effecting Ash at all. Should I continue to use the sand or get something else such as eco earth?
SO i am thinking about getting a leopard gecko, but i am not spending a ridiculous amount of money on a cage so i am using a plastic laundrey hamper that seems about maybe 10 gallons and i am setting up little hiddy spots and stuff but i dont know wha tbeedding i should use and how much light they need please hep :)

What kind of plants do you recommend for the American bullfrog
Hello. So right now for my baby crested gecko tank set up I have a 10 gallon with live plants and some wood. (First time reptile owner) I have had this problem before. There are these VERY small little silver bugs and they are in the dirt and also on the wood. I didn’t make this bio active. I don’t think they are on the plants but there is a lot. I am using the dirt bricks and last time this happened I cleaned out his tank but they are back. They are not on my crestie. Are these ok? Suggestions?
I was told to get Panacur powder and dust my tree frogs' crickets with it for one feeding, then again in two weeks to treat for worms, but what kind of Panacur do I get?
Hello I just got a Reeves turtle and was asking is dirt a good substrate for basking area as I saw it on YouTube? Thanks
Rust colored algae in both of my 10 gallon tanks after switching from gravel to sand substrate. What can I do?
Is this okay to use for my guinea pig? I'm used to the carefresh with the heart and the animals on the front in the picture, but the mostly blue green one I'm nervous about. I don't want Cosmo getting any reactions. Are they the same brand but different packaging?
