What is the best dog bowl material that is non toxic, going to stay clean, not get a film at the bottom and not harbor bacteria?
I have noticed that my 2 cats are not completing their dry food bowls as quickly as they used to, a whole day might pass without them completing their first dry food scoop. They do enjoy their wet food as always though. What can I do to make sure that they eat their dry food (which I prefer over wet food) and make sure that they are not underfed? I only feed them a small scoop of wet food every 10-12 hours.
Just asked about Tempest's farts, was told to go to a better quality food. Thing is, we have her on what I understand is a really good quality brand. Purina One True Instinct Natural Grain Free Chicken dry food, and Sheba Perfect Portions Pate and Cuts in Gravy for wet food. We feed her 2 scoops of dry in the morning, 4am-7am range, with 1 portion (1oz) of wet, usually she gets the dry to last until 5pm, and then we give her one dry scoop and one wet portion at about 9:30pm. Water always filled.
The back of my pet food says the weight in grams per cup of food. I notice when I weigh the food for 1/3 cup it only fills the measuring cup about 3/4 full. Is this normal? also do you know if pet food companies measure the calories per cup based on weighed grams of food or just by standard 8 oz. measuring cups? Thanks!

I feed them in separate bowls on each side of the fireplace. They are grazers eat some leave etc. I put morning portion in their bowl and then later if empty evenings. I’d like to them to eat all their dry food in two meals and finish in a timely manner. How to train them to do this without making them get too skinny? And how many cups should I feed them? Is it normal for a dog to poop ~4 times per day? I feed him 4 oz Wellness Core grain-free canned food twice a day, so it isn't cheap food. Per vet he needs to gain weight (he was a stray and VERY skinny) so I wonder if maybe it's because of the extra food? His poops are small, dark, and firm.
