You can protect your pet from heartworm and intestinal worms with one medication. This monthly oral pet medication can be used in dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens to kill the immature form of heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis). Interceptor also controls adult hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum and Ancylostoma tubaeforme), and removes and controls adult roundworms (ascarids - Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina in dogs and Toxocara cati in cats), and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) in dogs. Interceptor is used in the prevention of heartworm and the prevention, control and treatment of various other worm infections. Interceptor contains milbemycin oxime, which is thought to interfere with the parasite's nerve transmission, causing death of immature heartworms (larvae) and adult intestinal worms. Safe to use in pregnant and nursing dogs.

Interceptor must be administered monthly, preferably on the same date each month. Interceptor may be given year round, although some veterinarians may recommend giving it only during the mosquito season. If given seasonally, the first dose must be given within 30 days of the pet's first exposure to mosquitoes. The last dose must be given within 30 days after the pet's last exposure to mosquitoes. Most dogs and cats like the taste of Interceptor and will accept the tablet as a treat. Interceptor may be crumbled and mixed with some food. Care should be taken that the dog consumes the complete dose, and treated animals should be observed for a few minutes after administration to ensure that part of the dose is not lost or rejected. If not entirely consumed, give another full recommended dose as soon as possible.
Do not use in puppies less than 4 weeks of age or less than 2 pounds, or in kittens less than 6 weeks of age or less than 1.5 pounds.

Would you recommend Tri-Heart Plus Chewable Tablets for heartworm and Simparica Chewable Tablets for fleas and ticks? I want to get the right brand, but I'm worried about the cost, and these were some of the cheapest I found.
Is there one Rx that provides both heart guard and flea protection for cats?
We have 2 50 lb. hound mixes that we have been using Bravecto on for several years successfully. We also have 5 indoor cats, 2 of which came back from the vet recently with fleas. Our dogs have been scratching non-stop
Best flea and tick preventive for a large 90+ lb one year old male dog
What are the best flea and tick medication for our 16 pound mixed breed cat? Thank you!
Best flea/ parasite pill for small dog?
Just took my 9 month old puppy in for his weigh in before I give them his preventative meds and find out he is 62 pounds and all of these NexGuard flea and tick medication’s 25-60 lbwill not work for him. The vet said if I gave him the one of these that he wouldn’t be fully protected from fleas and ticks. Is there any way I can give him one and maybe a little bit of another NexGuard pill or am I better off trying to sell these? I’m really upset because I paid over $100 for these pills at Costco.
For the last six years my dog has taken trifexis 1time a month but for the last three months she has thrown it up.Dont know if it had already Ben absorbed because it was about one hour after I gave it to her. Thinking of switching to a topical product
What is recommended for 3 month kitten for fleas and for adult dogs?
My dog now weighs 28 lbs. can I still continue to give him his heart worm and flea and tick medicine for 25 lbs
We have been giving nacho revolution for heartworm and fleas (due to his small weight) with no treatment to prevent ticks. Our vet recommended switching him to simparica (2.8-5.5 lb.) since it is the only tick prevention medicine for his size. Have you had any experience with this product and would you recommend it? He’s a micro chihuahua- 14 months old and 3.75 lbs.
My 45 ib mixed breed 18 month dog is on trifexis. We are rving in a tick populated are and he has already had his trifexis on july 15th. Ive been told i can use frontline plus or k9 advantix for a solution for the tick issue. Is this a good option? It would only be for 1 to 2 months.
