- Hello, our freeze-dried raw food can be served as is, or you can rehydrate it by adding a little warm water. It truly just depends on how your pet prefers to eat it!

Are there synthetic vitamins or minerals in this food?
- We do use synthetic ingredients in our Instinct® Raw recipes, but only to the extent we need to deliver the best scientifically grounded nutrition. For example, think about Vitamin C for adults and how many of the supplements contain 1000mg of Vitamin C. This would be equivalent to eating 20 oranges! The reason is that even though oranges are rich in it, Vitamin C is actually a very small percentage of the orange. To give our pets the amount of nutrients they need through only pure wholesome food, we would similarly have to feed them too much. To balance this, once we have delivered as much of the nutrition possible from wholesome ingredients, we supplement the recipe with denser sources of nutrients so as not to dilute the overall nutrition or inflate the pet’s calorie intake.

So for my 20 lb puppy, if I feed the recommended 3 cups per day the $50 + bag will only last 3 days?!!!
