Ideal feeding amounts will vary by age, weight, and activity level so the guide below should be used as an initial recommendation. Divide the cups per day by the number of feedings per day. Be sure to always provide clean, fresh water. Along with dry food, we recommend feeding raw or wet food to help increase the amount of water in your pet's diet. Daily Feeding Guidelines (standard 8 oz dry measuring cup): Adult Maintenance (cups per day): 5 lb: 3/8 cup; 10 lb: 5/8 cup; 15 lb: 7/8 cup, Weight Loss (cups per day): 5 lb: 1/4 cup; 10 lb: 3/8 cup; 15 lb: 5/8 cup, Kittens: Feed up to twice the adult maintenance amount. Pregnant/Nursing Females: Feed up to three times the adult maintenance amount shown above. Transitioning to Instinct: Always introduce a new food over a period of 5 to 7 days, mixing increasing amounts of Instinct with the current food each day.

Disappointing

I've been feeding my cats WholeHearted dry food (plus a variety of wet food mixed in) for about a year now, which they do enjoy. One of my cats has had some digestive issues lately, so I decided to change brands to see if it was dietary as the vet had no answers. I looked for salmon protein as that (and tuna) is their preferred wet food flavor and offers higher omega fatty acids . I chose this brand chose this brand because of the ingredients, the order they're listed in, and mostly positive reviews. Unfortunately neither of my cats will eat it. They either walk away or stand in front of their dishes meowing at me until without touching it. I've now offered them a different brand with the same criteria I listed above. They gobble it down. My dog with a voracious appetite does like this cat food, so I'll either give him a little with his regular food until it is gone, or ask my neighbors if they'd like to feed it to their cats.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Sick

My gorgeous Siberian Husky has been vomiting and diarrhea at the same time, yet all I wanted to do was get him something delicious to eat. Why can't we buy dog food without making them sick? I had some leftover chicken and pumpkin, so I fished it first, then opened the salmon one I bought, and he is still vomiting and having diarrhea. I had to make white with pumpkin and breast chicken for him to eat.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A month ago I bought the chicken flavor with freeze dried Chicken nuggets. This time I bought the Salmon Flavored one, but it doesn't have any freeze dried nuggets of any sort. I was expecting freeze dried salmon nuggets. What i got is a bag of just kibble.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We get Instinct for our cat and our dog. They both love the Salmon Raw Boost formula. I wish the salmon came in the 10lbs. bag like the chicken has the option of doing though.

I bought this try and determine if one of my cats has s poultry allergy. Almost immediately one of my cats was vomiting it back up, and the others ate it very sparingly. I put out about 2 cups worth and only about a forth of it was eaten in 24 hrs.

No, I do not recommend this product.
