Ideal feeding amounts will vary by age, weight, and activity level so the guide below should be used as an initial recommendation. Divide the cups per day by the number of feedings per day. Be sure to always provide clean, fresh water. Along with dry food, we recommend feeding raw or wet food to help increase the amount of water in your pet's diet. Daily Feeding Guidelines (standard 8 oz dry measuring cup): Adult Maintenance (cups per day): 5 lb: 3/8 cup; 10 lb: 5/8 cup; 15 lb: 7/8 cup, Weight Loss (cups per day): 5 lb: 1/4 cup; 10 lb: 3/8 cup; 15 lb: 5/8 cup, Kittens: Feed up to twice the adult maintenance amount. Pregnant/Nursing Females: Feed up to three times the adult maintenance amount shown above. Transitioning to Instinct: Always introduce a new food over a period of 5 to 7 days, mixing increasing amounts of Instinct with the current food each day.

Diarrhea bomb

Catgurll

I had high hopes for this cat food because i heard/read really good things about this food. However it causes an explosion in my cats stomach and they have the worst diarrhea ever. My cats never use the bathroom in my home anywhere except their litter box but after feeding them this food it looked like a bomb of poop went off in my house. Never again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My cat loves all the raw mixers except the rabbit, she refuses. Even if I mix a couple of rabbit in with the chicken, she will always leave the rabbit

Good but pricey

It is great food but the protein boost pellets crumble easily. They end up getting pretty smushed in the bag. The food is also really pricey. It is great quality food though bd both my savannah and bengal-snowshoe love it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Cat Food

This is the only brand I feed my cat because it seems to have the most amount of protein and least amount of unhealthy stuff. Unfortunately, the Petco I go to only carries the giant bags! It's pricey but worth it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this OK for kittens? I don't see feeding instructions or directions showing kitten daily amount.

  1. Hello! This recipe is suitable for all life stages. For kittens, you will feed up to twice the adult amount per day.

Bought a 5 lb bag & our 2 cats gobbled it up. One of them especially loves the "marshmallows" as we like to call the raw bits. Purchased a 2nd 10 lb bag & they will not touch it, not even the marshmallows. Any idea why? They are normally not picky at all.

  1. Thanks for the response. We picked up another (small) bag and they are eating it again so we think it was a bad batch or was possibly stored in a hot warehouse for an extended period and went stale sooner than the expiration date. We will be returning the other bag to Petco the next time we are near a store.

I have a 1yr old Black short/Haired Domestic Cat, and I’ve been having to switch out different dry foods. The older he gets, the pickier he gets. He needs it controlled or else he’ll over eat it and throw up. Will this help him? Feel fool and happy?

  1. Hi There! Our Raw Boost kibble is a popular option for our dry foods and is typically a winner with picky pets! Thanks!
