If this is kitten food, why in the directions as u read into them, u find it giving instructions for feeding puppies LOL?? I was looking for the directions for feeding kittens who are 12- 13 pounds and 8- 9 months old...how much would i feed them?

Hi there. I was thinking about switching my cat to a better quality food. I know the first at least 3 ingredients should be chicken, chicken meal etc vs corn or grains. My cat is 20lbs. Vet told me he should be 16lbs & be on a low fat diet. I don't think his purina pro plan weight mgmt is helping anymore. Fat is 12.5% max in that food. But other foods have more fat. I wonder if a grain free diet would help keep him full longer? How many calories/cups a day he should eat? Worried about weightgain
