Healthy food for my puppy!

Wanda

I do love that the list of ingredients are real and healthy. My only question is my puppy is 35 lbs and is 24 weeks, it says to feed 3/4 can per every 5 lbs, that is around 4 can a day! There are 6 cans in an order which will not even last 2 days. My puppy cannot eat that much, that is a lot of food. Am I reading it correctly?

Puppy's favorite wet food

Beka

This was my puppy's favorite wet food!! I tried a few and for complete and balance meals, this was his favorite. If you want to try some cans out for your puppy I would give this one a try! He also really likes Instinct's wet pouches too, but those are toppers not meals. So for meals I like giving him these cans!

Warning: Do not feed ot large breeds over 70Lbs

This website fails to mention this wet puppy food does not meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO for dogs that are over 70Lbs as an adult. It clearly states this on the back of the can which this website doesn't show.

Hello! The AFFCO statement regarding large breed puppies is listed under the Nutritional Info section on our website for this recipe. If a puppy is expected to weigh over 70lbs as an adult, it is considered a large breed puppy. Large breed puppies have different nutritional needs during their growth period (mainly the calcium and phosphorus), and we have only one formula that is suitable for those large breed puppies. https://www.instinctpetfood.com/dogs/raw-boost/instinct-raw-boost-grain-free-recipe-real-chicken-large-breed-puppies Thanks!

I feed my Niko the raw coated kibble, freeze dried raw meals and canned. He loves all of it!!! He’s able to have multiple meal options which is great. He never knows which tasty option he’ll be getting at meal time

Can I use this as a topper or to mix w/ the raw boost whole grain (kibble + raw) for my 10 week old pitbull puppy?

  1. Yes, you can, however, the food may be too rich for a puppy's sensitive stomach. We found this out the hard way.
