5-year old kitty has IBD and this is the only novel protein she’ll eat, since she rejects anything pâté. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it’s just a topper, not a complete meal. Instinct should come out with a complete meal limited ingredient non-pâté product as I’ve seen a lot of people on cat forums wanting the same. I asked her vet about giving this to her as her only wet food. She said: “it should be fine to use, however, it should not take up most of her meals. The [dry Hills] z/d should take up 3/4 of her meals and the rest, the topper. If she does not accept this, then unfortunately, we will have to continue trying other canned food.” So I’m trying to follow that ratio guideline with her prescription Hills z/d hydrolyzed dry food. I hope this is helpful to someone in the same boat with a pâté-hating cat. But I REALLY hope Instinct decides to make a complete meal version of this rabbit novel protein product.

My cat adores this food. Please keep making foods for allergy cats. Almost every cat food on the market contains fish oil and she is allergic to it as well as beef and chicken, tapioca and fish in general so our choices are limited. Please keep making this!!

I bought this product for my cat to go with her food and unfortunately the chunks are much larger than depicted in the ads. My cat only has a few teeth left and struggles to eat this. I would not have bought it if I knew the pieces were so large.

Cats hated it. Very slimmy and horrible smell I tried to return unopened ones but they refused a refund or exchange

My lil kitty lady seems to like it, but not her favorite, I have purchased a couple of times . She eats it but not all of it , but I do like this brand for its limited ingredients and the name.

Cats don't like it, even though they really like the Instinct Real Rabbit Cat Food. This has a lot of formed and shaped food,not a lot of gravy. Seems more like a food than a topper, but doesn't have taurine, so can't be used as a food.
