Should we be concerned about bacteria with this frozen raw cat food? How do you ensure this? Thank you~
- Yes! I was feeding this to my cats, one day one of them didn't finish all her food so I put it in the fridge and fed it to her later. She got diarrhea and I had to take her to the vet, get a stool test done and give her expensive probiotics. $300 later I'd say this food is not worth the risk!

How long can unopened bags be stored in a standard kitchen freezer without the cat food getting freezer burned?
- I happened to have one stored in freezer for a month, still no freeze burned LOL

How many cups are in a bag?
- I feed my 10 pound cat 3/4 cups per day, split into 2 servings. One bag (1.25 lb.) last about 7 days. So I estimate that each bag contains about 5.25 cups of frozen cat kibble.

Why does this contain apples, carrots and sweet potatoes? Cats can't really get the nutritional value out of vegetables.
- Hi There! Cats may be different than dogs because they are much closer genetically to their wild cousins. Just the same, wild cats have been documented to eat grasses and berries, so this is also normal behavior for wild cats. It is thought to be a self-medicating behavior to help expel parasites or keep the gastrointestinal tract healthy, but we also believe that cats can benefit from the healthful compounds contained in fruits and veggies. Hi there. I was thinking about switching my cat to a better quality food. I know the first at least 3 ingredients should be chicken, chicken meal etc vs corn or grains. My cat is 20lbs. Vet told me he should be 16lbs & be on a low fat diet. I don't think his purina pro plan weight mgmt is helping anymore. Fat is 12.5% max in that food. But other foods have more fat. I wonder if a grain free diet would help keep him full longer? How many calories/cups a day he should eat? Worried about weightgain

My dog is not eating his regular food (kibble) I was feeding him Instinct Raw Boost Chicken flavor and he ate that fine most of the time. I switched about 2 weeks ago to Instinct Original Chicken Flavor ( no raw boost). As far as I know the only difference between the 2 is that the Original does not have bits of freeze dried raw in it. The last time I asked this question the vet was incorrect and didn’t even bother to read the pictures I had sent, instead called it dog food and said I couldn’t use it, not a very professional reply. I know some ferrents who feed Instinct Raw to their babes& that their Ferrets are happy, healthy & absolutely love this food. Would only be feeding it in AM, Wysong for entire rest of day. This is cat food and is also grain free, I know Ferrets don’t need fruits but I don’t have time to do full raw.
