My cat didn't like it, and he's usually not picky. It could be all the vegetable that are added. I switched to 'Small batch' brand and he loves it, and it's more meat less filler.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have an extremely picky cat with it comes to taste and texture and this food is her all time favorite. The bites are the perfect size and firmness for a smaller cat who refuses to eat anything too big or too hard. The ingredients are high quality and makes me feel confident in my cat's health. Overall exceptional product that I recommend to every single person who wants a high quality cat food.

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know why, but my cat goes crazy for this. I crumble it up and mix it into any foods she's not so sure about and then she will immediately clean her dish. I've never seen her get so excited for any other freeze dried raw foods! I didn't actually purchase my first bag myself, it was donated to my workplace already opened and only about 1/3 full, but I'd say that I would definitely buy a 25 oz bag because my cat is seriously a huge fan. She is so picky but I guess she knows quality when she tastes it!

Questions

Should we be concerned about bacteria with this frozen raw cat food? How do you ensure this? Thank you~

  1. Yes! I was feeding this to my cats, one day one of them didn't finish all her food so I put it in the fridge and fed it to her later. She got diarrhea and I had to take her to the vet, get a stool test done and give her expensive probiotics. $300 later I'd say this food is not worth the risk!

Hello! How many ounces in the bag? I don't how much it weighs.  It's frustrating to ask or have to spent too much time looking. The amount should be on the front of the bag . Thank you!

  1. 1.25lbs (20oz)

How long can unopened bags be stored in a standard kitchen freezer without the cat food getting freezer burned?

  1. I happened to have one stored in freezer for a month, still no freeze burned LOL

How many cups are in a bag?

  1. I feed my 10 pound cat 3/4 cups per day, split into 2 servings. One bag (1.25 lb.) last about 7 days. So I estimate that each bag contains about 5.25 cups of frozen cat kibble.

Will this food be available for delivery?

  1. Hello! We'd recommend reaching out to your local Petco in regards to delivery. Thanks!

Why does this contain apples, carrots and sweet potatoes? Cats can't really get the nutritional value out of vegetables.

  1. Hi There! Cats may be different than dogs because they are much closer genetically to their wild cousins. Just the same, wild cats have been documented to eat grasses and berries, so this is also normal behavior for wild cats. It is thought to be a self-medicating behavior to help expel parasites or keep the gastrointestinal tract healthy, but we also believe that cats can benefit from the healthful compounds contained in fruits and veggies. Thanks!

Why is there potassium chloride in the food?

  1. Hi There! Potassium and chloride are essential nutrients. Potassium chloride is a compound that closely resembles and tastes like table salt. It supplies the correct ratio of potassium and chloride, two elements that are critical to cell membrane function and permeability. Thanks!

Can I add a little warm water to this Product?  Raw frozen chicken bites.

  1. You don’t need to add water to the Raw recipes. However, if this is the way your pet prefers, you are more than welcome to.

Can this be fed as a meal?

  1. HI there, thank you for your question! The Instinct Raw Frozen Bites are complete and balanced so you can definitely feed them as a meal!

Is this the raw instinct bites for cats? That are normally stored in a freezer? Thank you!

  1. Hi Melissa Lorraine, Yes, this product should be kept frozen until your pet's mealtime. Thanks.
