Dog's FAVORITE freeze dried food!

Beka

My dog Milo is 3.5 years now and we've been feeding him freeze-dried food since the beginning, to make sure he grows up to be a strong, healthy boy! We started him out on the Puppy version when he was younger, then once he was an adult we have continued to feed him the Chicken. We'll probably never feed him anything else because as of now he has loved it his whole life haha. I'm glad because the benefits of raw are amazing and I can see them in Milo! I also like that freeze-dried exists because of the convenience compared to frozen, so I'm happy I'm able to give Milo the same benefits! I recommend this food to all my friends and family.

I got this one instead of the cat version by accident. Is there a difference between the two and is it safe for my cat?

  1. For just the chicken flavor, the dog is the same as the cat.

calories per cup in Instinct Raw Meals

  1. Hi There! Our Freeze-Dried Raw Meals has 179 kcal/cup. Thanks!

If frozen real beef recipe and freeze dried is same product seems strange my dog turns nose up at the frozen but will gobble down the freeze dried whether it's rehydrated or left dry. Please give input as to difference of frozen and rehydrated frz-dried.

  1. Hello! Our Freeze-Dried Raw Meal Beef recipe and Instinct Raw Frozen Beef recipe are the same, but pets can certainly be finicky about different things such as texture and temperature. Your dog may simply not like cold food, or they may just prefer the texture of the freeze-dried food. Sometimes it just takes some trial and error to find the right food for your pet.

Comparing freeze dried real beef recipe to frozen, assuming freeze dried is the same product as frozen just dehydrated.Product analysis is very different, example...freeze dried 36%protein,30%fat compared to frozen 13%protein,8%fat.Please explain why.

  1. Hello, our freeze-dried food and our frozen food have significantly different levels of moisture. This will affect the percentages of protein and fat on an "As Fed" basis as listed in our Guaranteed Analysis. The Freeze-Dried Raw Meals Chicken recipe is made up of 6% moisture, while the Instinct Raw Frozen Chicken recipe is made up of 70% moisture. If you are trying to compare nutrient levels between different varieties of food (kibble, canned, freeze-dried, frozen), you would typically want to compare the percentages on a "Dry Matter" basis. If you would like more information on this, please contact us directly. Thanks!

How can you expect people to pay 25 dollars A DAY for dog food, especially during times like these?

  1. Yes, but you can use as a topper, mix with other food. Better some than none.

Do you honestly expect regular people to pay $50 to feed their 50lb dog for 3 days?

  1. Absolutely!! When you feed a raw or fresh diet it is so much better for your dog than kibble! But when traveling or your dog is at the pet sitter, freeze dried is very convenient and light weight. Even if you don't use the freeze dried for the whole meal adding it to your kibble meals will greatly increase the necessary nutrients for your dog.

I’m confused so if my dog is 51lbs+ he gets 4 cups a day. That’s 12 cups in 2 days, meaning this 50$ bag is only good for 3 days of use!?!? That’s not going to work for me. This is worse than the fresh food!

  1. Hi There! Yes, in order to reach the daily calorie content, larger dogs do require more cups per day. If you are wanting to use the Freeze Dried Meals, you could always mix with another food to help offset the cost. Thanks!

How many cups are in a 25oz bag?

  1. Hi There! There’s approximately 4.75 cups in a 9.5oz bag and 12.5cups in a 25oz bag. Thanks!

how does this product compare to the raw boost mixers. Are they the same?

  1. Hi There! Our Instinct Raw Meals are complete and balanced for a daily diet. Our Mixers are not a complete and balanced meal and are meant as a treat or topper. Thanks!
