Should I purchase a water fountain for my dog? She does drink on her own several times a day. But that sounds like a good idea. Does it really encourage them to drink more water? Is it easy to clean? I currently like to wash my dogs water bowl daily with warm water and soap. Would this be doable with a water fountain? thanks!
My dog keeps eating to fast. She is only 3.5 pounds, but she was choking so I made her drink some water out of a bottle. But how can I make her stop choking and eat slower??
We have successfully switched Deuce from milk to soft food. We were told to have fresh water out for him to drink. Any tips on how to get him to drink water in addition to eating his soft food? He just seems to not want to drink water at all. He'll sniff at it maybe take a lick or two but that's about it.
What training treats should I give chewy
Hi, is it necessary or benificial to add water to dry kibble and soak it before feeding? Will this enable them to digest the kibble better? I heard this is helpful and comparable to feeding a canned diet. I would add 1/2 cup per 1/3 cup of kibble. This would make it resemble a canned diet of 80% moisture. Is this a good idea? Also, do you recommend a slow feeder bowl for fast eaters? Or is it ok to use a regular bowl? Mine eats her serving in under a minute (1/3 cup kibble)
I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. Advice please.
Our cat wont stop chewing on things. We tried playing more often, new toys, bitter spray, etc. He used to chew just on cords, but now he's chewing through the hose behind the toilet, resulting in near emergencies when water is spraying everywhere. He is also really food motivated. He was abandoned in the desert with his siblings and gets really excited and demanding the closer it gets to dinner. Our landlord is about ready to make us get rid of him and I just dont know what to do.
I've recently started spraying my cat with water because he uncontrollably tries to drink out of the fish bowl and mess with the fish as well as tear leaves off house plants. Bailey (my dog) runs to a different room when she sees the spray bottle (bailey was abused and set on fire as a puppy) how can I help her overcome her fear of spray bottles?
My 11 year old corgi drinks water like it's going out of style. Then all of a sudden she's peeing on the floor. She's always been good about letting us know when she needs to go out. But recently this has been happening. That's the only thing that is different in her normal day.
What is the best dog bowl material that is non toxic, going to stay clean, not get a film at the bottom and not harbor bacteria?
My cat completely stopped eating wet food. She went from eating a whole can, to half a can, to only eating the gravy, to not touching it at all. She eats plenty of dry food which I have available for her all throughout the day. I’ve tried offering different types of wet food from the priciest to the cheapest but she’s picky and doesn’t like any of them by far. I’m thinking about buying her a fountain but still want her to eat wet food. What should I do?
My Cavachon is 5 years old. When she drinks water she always brings up a tiny amount of water afterwards. Been doing this for a long time now. Could this be a problem? She’s not showing any signs of health issues, eats well.
