Indian Pea Puffers are an adorable freshwater puffer. This puffer only has the max size of 1.5 inch, so they should be the only species of fish in the aquarium. Unlike other puffers in this family, the Indian Puffer requires no salt content and prefers a planted aquarium. They are considered to be the smallest pufferfish in the world. They should be fed a diet consisting of brine shrimp, krill and/or mollusks. Males can be very territorial so it is suggested to only have one per aquarium. Be sure not to add any invertebrates because they will become a meal. To keep the puffer's beak healthy and short, be sure to feed it crunchy foods.
