Matched up well with my crab. They like to dig and be warm, with a heater underneath he likes to dig in the warm sand. Colors are bright and vibrant. This isn’t regular sand, it generates more heat for the hermit crabs.

Vibrant and shows up beautifully in the enclosure. It helps add a little more to something that your pet is stuck in every day. I haven’t used it enough to know if it’s easy to clean and keeps odor at bay.

I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. This Imagitarium yellow sand is pretty cool. I always do a sand soil mixture for hermits home - last time we had natural colored sand & this time with the yellow. It really brightens things up a bit! The sand is just like normal sand — smooth & silky… just a brighter, pretty color. Just hope hermit loves it too?!

Great sand! My hermit crabs really seem to love it. It is very bright and adds a fun feel to their tank. I added it with other sand I have, rocks and hermit crab soil and they love the mix of it all. Would recommend!

I love the texture; I love the consistency; and I love the idea that my hermit crabs' health and well-being may benefit from it. I just wish the bags were bigger! I received one bag; which in my opinion, looked alot bigger in the picture (maybe just wishful thinking lol). I was able to cover the sand that was already in the bottom of the tank, but only with a very thin layer/covering. If I didn't already have sand in there, my crabs would've been crawling (screeching) around, dragging their shells on the glass bottom (if you've ever heard that sound, you know..ickk! Can I just say- nails on chalkboard?! Lol) Anyway, I have yet to even consider how many bags I would need just to get a couple inches of depth. Not to mention, my tank is fairly small; so I can only imagine how many bags you would need for a bigger tank! The texture/consistency is nice - light and "airy" but not dusty or powdery. I like that it doesn't absorb water like typical beach sand does (at least in my tank, beach sand does). If I spill water while filling their bowls and basins it just seeps down into the regular sand and even causes the basins to dry up sooner (therefore requiring far more frequent refills of said water). I really like that this sand is described as"thermal terrain." My office can get rather cold so I was really looking forward to giving the crabs this new fun "refuge," of sorts. While I generally like a more natural look for a crabitat, the color of this sand is actually pretty cool-looking. Kids will undoubtedly love it.

I received this product to give my honest review. Our little crabs seemed to like the sand. I am Not sure how much different it is than other brands per say. I like the colors available compared to other brands. No dust from it and it seems to be holding up well with all the digging and hiding.
