Toxic paint?

Concerned

Why is the paint peeling after only 3 weeks? I’ve read that it’s toxic when aquarium decor does that.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great addition to my natural aquarium setup. They are a good size for the price. The fish love swimming through them. Good sturdy material.

This aquarium swim through ornament is very thin and lightweight. It cracked in many pieces shipped in a sturdy delivery box. The box was undamaged. It broke anyway. Would not buy this item again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

what is this thing made of? i can’t put my finger on the smell, glue, plastic, resin?? whatever it is it REEKS. your telling me i paid 20$ for an “aquarium safe” product that made my entire tank reek of a chemical glue scent?? is that even legal to sell something like that? i soaked it for a day in conditioned water and after a couple days of it sitting in my tank the water reeks. i am very upset with this, basically lying about a product and stealing my money. product is also extremely sharp in a lot of places in the hollow portions nothing about it screams safe for fish.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I’m so mad I can’t even return this because I don’t have the original receipt. One of my fish died and I couldn’t understand why. When I checked and saw paint floating. The inside of the ornament was peeling grey stuff when I’ve only had it a week!!!!! So disappointed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Would this fit in a 2.5 gallon tank?

  1. It will fit but it will take up the entire tank. I would definitely look for something much smaller, or, if you really love this look, you could use 1 or 2 of the individual units to create a similar look.

Will this flake over time? Replacing a skull that has started flaking so I want to make sure prior to purchasing.

  1. It is very cheap material. One drop it cracks. You can chip off pieces with ease just with a push of a finger. I'd say it's worth it as long as your very careful, but if your gonna pick it up to clean it a lot or use it for a kids tank I recommend you pass

Would this work for a axolotl

  1. Hi Sheeesh, This may be small. The holes are all approximately 1.5" wide and vary in height between 1" and 1.5". Thanks,

Is this real rock or it is painted?

  1. Hi question148273, These are not real rock but are fish safe. Thanks,

This item created a layer of black in the shape of it when I lifted it from the bottom of the fish tank. Could this have come from the inside of it?

Can this go in an outdoor pond??

    1. Hi Johnica1, This can be placed in a pond. Thanks,

Could this fit in a 3.5 gallon tank?

    1. Hi equestrian28. It depends upon your tank. Please see the product's dimensions below. approx 7.25” wide and 5” tall. Thanks,

Are the caves separate or are they all inter connected? I'm looking for something with separate swim-through caves for cichlids.

    1. Hi Fish Bait, These caves are one piece. For separated caves for cichlids we recommend the following item https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/underwater-galleries-cichlid-stone-kit-for-aquariums Thanks,

How large approximately are the holes of the rocks that fish would swim through?

    1. The holes are all approximately 1.5" wide and vary in height between 1" and 1.5"

Hi i have 2 moolies, 2 albino cats, 1 glass cat, 1 redtail shark, and 5 shrimps. I was wondering if this might be a nice place for my fish to hide from eachother? I am not sure if the holes are large enough though.

    1. I think this would most likely be big enough.
