The top is a solid piece, not a frame like some aquarium stands. Furniture is not brand specific, use whatever fits.

This is one of the best stands for price and quality I have had it set mine set up now for 5 years with a 20 gal tank the legs are adjustable to absolutely keep it level from side to side and front to back all tanks need a levelling mat placed under tank no matter what size aquarium its to equalize voids and pressure points on the bottom of tank it’s sold at Petco stores or on line it a must to have this item before adding water and contents into tank this stand is very stable I used wood glue on all joints and dial wood pins prior to tightening all factory turn locking clamps do not spill water on this stand as with any stand and do not place on carpet as it will not be level or stable take one’s time to do it right and you will have a quality stable stand with no leg issues I truly love the stand

That should fit. The dimensions are - 12”(D) x 26”(W) x 25”(H). This is when you don’t put the middle shelf. 

Very Sturdy just make sure that your pump is at least 4 inches from the wall so air gets behind the tank. Even the carpet was not matted when we moved it
