Do no buy
If I could give this zero stars I would. I bought absolutely everything I was told to buy. Went through multiple rounds of fish. Bought countless different types of food, rocks, chemicals and even consulted with a professional who maintains aquariums. Only to remove everything from the tank and find paint chips all throughout the rocks and the paint removed from multiple areas on the castle. The worst part is the employees at petco made me feel terrible and like it was something I did wrong. Now I’m out money for aquarium water, multiple types of food, four fish, rocks and the castle.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Killed my daughter’s fish
It killed 2 of my daughter’s fish within 24 hours of being in the tank. We have another on life support. I spent a significant amount of money chasing the problem. Not to mention my daughter is devastated about her fish. Why are these still on with shelf with so many reports of fish deaths?

Peeling paint and dead fish within two weeks!
Purchased Nov 21 and my whole tank was dead by Dec. 5. With no aquarium pets left, I brought everything down to rinse with hot water and the paint was peeling off the castle with hot water running over it. Then when I wiped with a paper towel, the paint came off more!
I called headquarters, who said there was nothing that could be done because it was an in store purchase. The store told me nothing could be done because I no longer had my receipt. The store manager asked for all my information - date of purchase, time of purchase, and card number (all which I was able to provide) and then said they couldn't do anything about it. I even offered to show my bank record proving purchase and was told no refund. What a mess

We bought this castle a month ago and that is all that it lasted. The paint started peeling off and it was not safe for the tank. Do NOT purchase!

Killed our Koi Betta
Killed our Koi Betta : (
Not good to aquariums. Pink paint chips off and killed our fish. She didn’t last even 24 hrs after this pixie castle was added to our aquarium. Will be taking pixie castle back to Petco for a refund.
