I got a tank too small for my fish. So while I switched the tank for a bigger one, this was a perfect holding tank. I for sure reccomend!

The medium was much larger than I expected it to be. It was perfect as a little hospital tank on short notice for my gourami with popeye.

Would this be suitable for a large brine shrimp (sea monkey) colony if the water was properly treated?

  1. Hi Cody901, Good day! We do not suggest using this as a permanent habitat. Thanks

Would this work for one pet land snail?

  1. I think this is just a travel cage.

We are moving across country, ould this work to transport my Betta fish in my car.

  1. We used this to transport a beta fish multiple times for 3 hour rides. My daughter was at College and she would bring her fish home for holidays and summer. It worked great. Good Luck!

I have a green lantern platy fish and she is pregnant, would this tank be good for her to be put in for her to give birth because the tank she is in has 2 other fish and 2 snails and i don't want them to eat the babies.

  1. Hi Nati07, That habitat would not be sufficient for keeping her platy in. The fish would need a tank with proper filtration and heat. Adding more hiding spaces to the current tank is also an option. When the platy give birth the fry will hide in plants etc… Please check options below: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-aquarium-divider https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-isolation-and-breeder-fish-tank Thanks,

I need a temporary tank for baby mollies soon because my mollies were misgendered and are going to have babies.  Would this work for Dalmatian Molly fry?

  1. Hi axolotlwithaukelele, This is for very short term use, such as travelling or during tank cleaning. We do not recommend it as a longer term aquarium. Thanks,

how long Will a beta live in here?

  1. Not sure how long a Beta will live in it, but we've had a fair goldfish (think ping-pong balls) alive in one for almost 8 years.

Would this be a good “permanent” tank to hold a betta fish? Not just temporary but as it’s tank instead of a big huge one.

  1. You should try the large tempoary holder for fish, it's 3 gallons and quite cheap! here is the link: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-pet-keeper-for-aquarium-fish-large

Can I use this as a temporary holding tank for baby fish (Platies) and, if so, what would I need to put in there filtration/plants?

  1. Not sure on specific needs of that fish, but we've had a gold fish in ours for 7 years with no plants & no filtration.

Can I fit one asiatic dwarf hamster?

  1. NO. Way too small.

how many fish can this hold?

  1. Depends on type of fish, etc. I use as grow out for baby guppies, with a sponge filter and TONS of plants. Similar would be ok for one betta. Remember...bigger is better with fish tanks sizes for pretty much all fish.
