Not Exactly an Ich Remedy

SapphireShrimp

It’s helping keep ich from going bonkers, but its not fixing the problem. I’ll keep it around to try on any other problems that might arise. I love the idea that its herbal, and it smells fantastic.

We have had a fish tank for 3 years with glofish in it. We bought some snails and fish from Petco to add in last month. They all got ich so I went to Petco and they recommended this. I followed to directions and put it in. All the fish were dead within 12 hrs. My kids are really upset.

Will Kill Your Fish!

I have a 75 Gallon that had 2 Severums and 4 Electric Blue Acara. I noticed they had Ich, so I ran to Petco and purchased this product. It killed all 6 of my fish within hours. I almost never write reviews, but felt that I needed to with this one.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is a great product, as I have plecos-- "scaleless fish" and cannot use harsh treatments. I saw a tetra was bombed with ick he looked like a white fish instead of red, a few other guppies with random spots... I immediately started treating per instructions, and cranked the tank to 86 degrees to speed the ick cycle. 36 hours later the spots are falling off and he looks better. 48 hrs later and hes 50% better than the day before yesterday. All i can say is WOW!!! All the chemical warriors or anti corporate warriors leaving bad reviews about this product either didnt follow directions or didn't do due diligence. This product is amazing. I have a 55 gallon tank with like 50 fish--and breeding fish as well--the rest are fine and spry. I was directed to us this by Petco aquarium in charge --shes awesome-- I will update this as the ick goes away, with timing and such.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this for ich treatment because I got Ram from a bad seller. The entire livestock is wiped out after using this. I have been doing aquacsape for 7+ years so it's my first experience like this.

Kills your fish

I bought this within the last month. One of our fish had ich and picked this up at Petco without reading the reviews. The next day both my fish were dead. I chalked it up to being carnival fish. Then I boiled, sanitized, cleaned it well how it’s suppose to before I went back to petco and bought more fish. It happened again. I did 1 treatment and the next day 2 died out of 3. Do not buy this product. I can’t believe Petco is willingly selling this to people. Read the reviews Petco! This product is a fish killer! Take it off your shelves!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Liquid Death

I am tossing out the remainder of the product after it killed everything in my aquarium. I have to recycle the tank, as it wiped out the entire bio ecosystem. I have been keeping aquariums since 1978, so I know what I'm doing. This was the only thing on the shelf, and it was an expensive gamble.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Does it work on any parasite?

  1. Hi Kingbob420, Good day! We recommend using as a preventative and for cases of common parasitic diseases such as Ick, protozoan Velvet and other parasites. There are large aggressive parasites, fish lice or anchor worms, that would need a more aggressive treatment. Thanks,

What can I use for parasites with turtles?

Does this treat anchor worms? Is it safe to use with scaleless fish, mystery snails, and shrimp?

  1. Hi C8isGR8, Anchor Worms are pretty tough and the actives in the Imagitarium Parasite Remedy are not aggressive enough to kill these parasites. When used as directed, is safe to use with Shrimp. Thanks,

  1. Hi Anonymous, This is only for external parasites. Thanks,

Is this safe for scaleless fish like corys and kuhli loachs?

  1. No, it's not safe and nor will it work. It's "essential oils". It's garbage. Pay the money for real medicine.

Does this kill planaria

  1. I haven’t used it for that. In the one instance that I had it in my tank many years ago I was able to get rid of it by vacuuming the substrate, doing frequent water changes, and feeding less. But there’s two other more effective methods, I’ve heard. First there’s chemicals like No-Planaria or others, I’m sure. The other method is by using a planaria trap. Both methods work great, from what I’ve heard.

Where can I find list of ingredients of this specific?

  1. It is normally on the package but if you see it there go on line and type fish Parasite Remedy you should find what you are looking for there.
