Currently I am using calcium sand. It doesn’t seem to be effecting Ash at all. Should I continue to use the sand or get something else such as eco earth?
SO i am thinking about getting a leopard gecko, but i am not spending a ridiculous amount of money on a cage so i am using a plastic laundrey hamper that seems about maybe 10 gallons and i am setting up little hiddy spots and stuff but i dont know wha tbeedding i should use and how much light they need please hep :)
Hi, my hatchling red foot tortoise has a problem with keeping his eyes open for very long, he hasn't been eating as much as usual and when he closes his eyes I have to soak him in water to get him to open them back up. When his eyes close it almost looks like they are crusty. I have a cypress mulch and jungle mix substrate in his cage which is about 4 inches at the highest and 1 inch in his basking are but it's kept well watered. Thank You!
first of all, thanks for your advice with my african dwarf frogs! after the aquarium salt bath they are doing great and even look more vibrant now! i was wanting to know what substrate would be best in the tank. would sand be okay or would they eat that like the gravel? i have a heavily planted aquarium and need something to keep the plants in place but i dont want my frogs to eat it and have something happen to them. i find conflicting information when i research it online. thanks!

My leopard gecko may have early signs of kidney disease. The vet says the xrays were fine and he looks healthy and gave me some omega 3 to give my gecko. He is 18 yrs old. What can I do at home via diet, soaking etc to help him heal? I have found a yellow waxy substance in his hide twice. It looks like dried glue.
Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. I bought a wounded baby gecko, I mean wounded because it's tail is gone. I'm not sure how old or what gender it is yet because of it missing its tail. My questions are I put a piece of clean dried drift wood & some dried out lemons & oranges in its aquarium is that ok or harmful? I also added moisture to its substrate & shallow dish of calcium powder & crickets sprinkled with it. Its tail don't seem to growing. Its only 3+half inches long,any suggestions would be great. I adopted a sick Leopard Gecko from a local pet store. The pet store doesn't take good care of Leopard Geckos. They have dried Mealworms, no calcium, no humidity, and their all crowed in one hide. My Leopard Gecko Geo wasn't eating Mealworms or Crickets. She is underweight and her tail is skinny. I started to get concerned so I started syringe feeding her daily with ReptaBoost. Today I saw her throw up some of the mix. It looks like she was struggling to regurgitate. Also the humidity is high.
