Glass is thin but a good size for easy shaking. Could include a footer/stand for the test tube so it doesn’t fall over. The test is only for testing nitrates, would prefer a full spectrum test kit. However, results are accurate.

Not sure I can speak about fresh water but it gives me a 0 nitrate reading when my nitrates were over 50

This kit is easy to use and effective. I have always been worried about the levels of different things in my aquarium but now i know my nitrate level is good. The fish appreciate living in a clean environment.

It was a an easy product to use. All you needed was to fill the tube to the line with tank water, add 10 drops of bottle 1 and then 10 drops of bottle 2. I did it twice to make sure I did it correct and the water kept matching to “safe” conditions from the color code. Although my tank is small and it’s a betta fish only in there. I wasn’t sure if my water was clean cause it was looking dirty, but if I did it correct then it is safe.

Very useful water tester! I have a 75 gallon freshwater tank and a small betta tank that I use this tester for. Always gives an accurate and is very easy to use. Highly recommend it for those who have any kind of fish tank.

Unfortunately I would not use this again. There are much easier products that this company makes to test everything except one thing with a lot of less effort and time. I would not be buying this again but I will be buying from the company because they make great products for my fish

I have three aquariums that have been set up for years and this is perfect for just testing nitrate levels. Two aquariums are planted and I was curious to know if there were any nitrate levels for the plants to use. I also have a 75G with no live plants because of my adorable but extremely destructive severum. The test kit has two bottles clearly labeled and the card to compare the results to with the instructions on one side. The test tube is glass and it did survive a nasty fall onto the tile, but I would be more careful with it than I was. First, I test my 75G before a water change and an hour after a water change because I knew the results should be different (the results are pictured). Then I tested my two little tanks where some of my plants are showing nutrient deficiencies and found I have 0 nitrate levels. So at least I know the source of one the problems my plants have. The nitrate test kit is very useful for any aquarist and it was easy to use.

Instructions are clear and easy to understand. This product helps keep my tanks healthy and keeps my fish happy and healthy. Helped clear my water right up too. I would definitely recommend this product.
