I use this as a water dish. The diameter is small, but it's deep enough to hold a decent amount of water so I don't have to fill it everyday. And the little steps are great for my leopard gecko to get to the water to drink easily.

how many inches deep is it? would it work for a chameleon? thank you
- Hi kit678, The height for this item is .71, so this is a shallow dish. Chameleons, however, will not drink water from a bowl. They rely on moisture on plants for water; mist plants 4–5 times daily for 2 minutes at a time so that leaves are saturated and dripping with water, or use an automatic mister or dripper to do the same.
