Not safe for Plecos. My pleco ate the paint and got sick, bloated. I took it out of the tank and he is back to normal. Definitely not recommended

Paint flakes off after short use!
I put this in my aquarium 2 months ago and just took it out to clean the algae off of it. I used a soft toothbrush a the paint started flaking off. I’m tossing it out.

It is safe for a Pleco to eat the paint? I have a common pleco and he is eating the paint and I’m worry it can be toxic for him.
- Hi Yada16, Good day! All the paint used on the décor is tested to be free of lead and dangerous heavy metals. This should not be dangerous for fish, but products with a lot of peeling paint should be removed from tanks. Thanks,

What are the dimensions of this? "Small is relative- will it fit in a 10 gallon, a 20 high, a 75, etc.?
