Perfect for Shrimp & Planted tanks

When I was looking to start up a planted 9 gallon, I was comparing all of the available substrate with that in mind. I'm love the Fluval stratum, but was hoping to save a bit, as it tends to be quite pricey. Enter Petco's version of the same product, at a fraction of the cost, and color me impressed. I planted that tank about 2 months ago, and aside from some initial (expected) melting, everything came back VERY quickly and with good color. I've now gone ahead and done another small tank and expect to see similar results.

Yes, I recommend this product.
