It’s not as big as you would think. Luckily my tortoises are still young and can fit inside. For the price, I thought I was getting a larger cave. Ordered it online with no description on the dimensions. It only stated as “large”.

Bought this for a 3.5 foot corn snake. The edges are a little sharp and needed to be sanded before putting in his tank

For me the hollow log reptile hideaway does the trick. It's a decent size, natural looking, and simple. It does not clog up the space in the tank, the crickets have a place to 'hide', yet it's still big enough for the dragon to get at them, if he wants. It's also big enough for him to be able sit and bask.

Would it be a safe addition for a fish tank? My crayfish is about to molt and I want to give him enough space but a way to also hide himself.

Hi Anonymous, As the reptile hideaway was not designed to be submerged in water, I would recommend using an item from the aquatic category. SKU 583480 may be a better option for this purpose. Is it safe to submerge this under water for my Red Eared Slider Turtle?

I was told its a resin and water proof by Petco Lincoln Nebraska, and have had no problems with my red ear slider turtles, except one is getting to big. They love to rub shells on it or when they go through it
