duped

why is it so expensive

I thought this was tubes for fish breeding...in the description is says "tubes", thought it was maybe constructed of nice terra cotta, thought it had some sort of moss growing on it. Wrong, it's just a mound of hollow plastic with three round entrances and some astroturf crap glued to it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Wonderful cave--adored by our CAE

Our Chinese Algae Eater loves this so much--it is the equivalent of his "pet bed"--and he has required it be moved with him from tank to tank as he has grown (the first couple moves we didn't initially transfer the pipes cave--as there were plenty of other caves in his new tank; but he was extremely stressed until we gave him back his pipes cave, then he returned to his usual chill self). He is also extremely territorial about this cave, though he tolerates our fish well when swimming around the tank, he won't let any fish get too close to his pipes cave, even the snails nosed away. As he is about 7" long now, we have just purchased him a second pipes cave to tie to the first (his tail was hanging out the back)--he loves the second pipes cave as much as the first and is thrilled to have his cave "expanded".

Yes, I recommend this product.

Deceptive, not for breeders

ScammedAgain

They do a great job in the picture hiding the fact the inside is all hollow, meaning its not 3 tubes, just 3 entrances into one cave and as others have said sharp. I wanted 3 tubes, i only bought cuz it was clearance as was preparing for a future pleco bunk bed, now its just garbage. Also, No clue what the fake green astroturf fiber crap is on top, prolly not good to be in your tank lol

No, I do not recommend this product.

My Betta loves it!

I bought this for my 10gallon Betta tank and he loves this! He’s always swimming through it and it’s adorable to see :) Also makes my tank look really nice! At first I thought each hole was a separate tube but it’s actually one big space inside. Plenty of space for my fish to swim through.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

Is it big enough for a crawfish

  1. No not big enough for crawfish. Shrimp only.

What is the overall size (LxWxH) and what is the diameter of one of the tubes?

  1. It is all one big space inside, not individual tubes, and another user said the whole thing fits in a hand.

Are there any sharp edges inside or out of these pipes. Thanks

  1. Yes there are. I am sitting here holding it as it was just delivered and yes some very sharp edges.
