what size cage does an adult bearded dragon need? what substrate should I use? is bioactivity possible with bearded dragons?
My red eared slider turtle having 3 inch size, keep burying in sand for several days. Is this normal??
I have a baby red eared slider a friend bought from Chinatown then couldn’t keep. I believe it’s about 1-2 months old as it wasn’t even old enough to eat when I recieved it. I have him set up in a filtered tank with a dry rock area and some caves in the water that he likes to sit on. He’s developed a couple small white spots on his shell and I’m worried that it’s some kind of infection but I also don’t know if he’s maybe starting to shed his shell.
I need to know what, in very specific terms, are the bare minimum requirements for housing a little red eared slider turtle we just won at a carnival who's about 3 inches long at most. We can't afford much, but my daughter & I are both attached already, I'm concerned and confused by what I'm reading online. I know we'll be needing a larger setup soon, but I'd like to start out with the smallest for now, & need specific light types, filters, & heaters necessary. (Live in CA)

My red eared slider turtle is hiding constantly staying under the rock and filter and he’s not sunbathing I’ve had him for 2&1/2 years and he hasn’t grown a whole lot, I’ve only been feeding him 3-4 “floating reptile sticks” every day since then. I’m worried about the little guy should I be feeding him more or something else also I don’t know if his tank is ideal for his species I’ve never met anyone else with a turtle and I haven’t had anyone to get advice from. Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. (I will upgrade when he is bigger) also do you know an age on him? I got him 3 months ago from petsmart. I could tell he was a male a week after I got him. (Pic from yesterday)
I recently got some hermit crabs. The nearest pet store to me is an hour away so I made a visit to purchase supplies. But I didn't get as much substrate as I needed, unfortunately. I was planning to go and get more when I had the chance. But I believe my largest crab is molting, it's trying to dig underground but there's not yet enough substrate for him to really bury himself yet. I know you should not bother a molting crab, but if I buy more substrate should I put it in there with him or wait
I have a new Ball Python that eats allright, but it stays in it's hide all the time, day and night. I keep the temperature gradient consistant. The hide is the black square with a hole in one end. I feed him in a separate clear habitat. The substrate is aspen bedding wich, consists of perfectly square 3mm pieces that stick to every thing it comes in contact withincluding the snake wich is covered. I have to mist more than seven times a day to keep the humidity above 40%. One quart at a time.
