Looks and works great! Highly recommend getting a flow rate valve for this. So you can adjust how much bubbles you want.

I looked at the previous reviews before buying it and the general picture I got was that it either works really well or doesn’t work at all. The one I got was somewhere in between. It produces bubbles, but they’re weak and only in a few spots of the air stone (yes, I did soak it for an hour before turning it on). It’s also a lot smaller than I expected but that’s not necessarily a fault. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to tell me, but so far, not-so-good. If it ends up producing more bubbles as some goes on, I’ll update this review, if not, I may see about a return or an exchange.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A lot of bubble surface

You have to make sure they’re flat for them to provide all around air bubbles. With a black substrate you just see the bubbles in the background. If you have white sand hide it with a rock or different form of decoration.

Yes, I recommend this product.

is this good and safe for 7 gallon tank with a beta fish in it?

  1. Hi Juno164, Yes this is safe for a betta in a 7G tank. I would recommend the small size. Thank you.

Would this work for a betta fry? If it does what size air stone should I get for a 10 gallon tank?

  1. This size stone is kind of big and powerful. I use it in my 55 gallon cichlid tank and they love it. I would probably suggest a smaller size stone

Hi, I'm looking for a submersible pump with tubing, not for an aquarium but to use for my hummingbird bath.

  1. Hi Styx, Links are below for an airpump and airline tubing. We recommend the black airline tubing if its will be outside as the clear can cause algae in the line when exposed to sunlight. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-air-pump https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-black-airline-tubing Thanks,

Hi, what size air stone should I get for a 10 gallon fish tank?

  1. Depends on what type of fish and your pump size. But a small sized ayirstone would be sufficient.

What is the best size to get for a moderate amount of bubbles in a 20 gallon tank?

  1. Hi TetraTime, We would recommend either the medium or large size. Thanks.

I have 2 questions, one, could the small one fit in Petco's volcano? two, does this come with airline tubing?

  1. Hi, I have got the large one, not the small one, but the small one is only 1.5 inches which is extremely tiny if you look at a ruler. I'm unsure what the Petco volcano is, but I would suggest to look on the items page to see if it shows hows how big the volcano's opening is. Most likely there will be a hole in the back for the airstone so I do not see why it would not fit in there being that it is small. You could also look on youtube to see if someone has a review on the volcano. That could help you as well. As for air tubing, no, you have to buy that separately. Rember that you will need the airline tubing, and a check valve as well as the nob to control the amount of air that is coming out just in case you do not have them already. Best of luck! :)

does the size affect the amount of bubbles it produces?

  1. It does a little bit but my pump is adjustable so I can control the bubble flow

What would be a good air pump to go with this air stone?

  1. I've been using the Tetra Whisper for 10 gallon tanks, and it puts out a mild amount of bubbles. The surface of the water isn't violent.

Just purchased a stone for my 20 gallon. Will not produce bubbles in the tank despite following the instructions. It will bubble if i blow through the tubing. What am I doing wrong?

  1. Do you have a check valve?  If so, make sure it is right side up.  Had mine installed wrong and had the same problem .  Hope this helps.

I have a 10 gallon with 6 neon tetra and this seems a little strong, would this kill my fish ?

  1. no, it will not harm any fish, it actually make's there fins stronger!
