Good design and function
I've had several tanks and a few bubble wands and this is a good design. It is black, weighted and gives an even, pleasing bubble wall. I pre-soaked it for hours, hooked it to a 40 gallon pump, then reduced to a 10 gallon pump. I added a regulator to reduce the bubble wall. The 14 inch wand looks great in my 125 gallon planted tank. Both fish and plants like it

garbage
This air stone is garbage, first the stone won't stay down and positioned. Second the stone snaped and broke on me while trying to center it in the tank. Save your money and get better product.

Always broke in half Always make Shure to Look through package you may find 1 out of 7 that's not cracked in half IN THE BOX. Hope you don't order for delivery then your GUARANTEED A BROKE PIECE OF TRASH

Does not work as advertised
I bought this today, soaked it for over an hour as the direction indicate. Connected to the pump, put in the tank and the bubbles only come out near the air hose, with most coming out from the area where the hose goes into the stone. Complete piece of garbage, does not work.

Good Quality
I am not sure how long these are supposed to last, but the last one I bought lasted probably close to a year or longer. I tried a PetSmart brand one and surprisingly that one lasted even shorter than this one. Although I am slightly new to aquarium business, this brand of airstones has been particularly efficient in water circulation.

Which size could work well for a 20 gallon high tank?
- Yes, I would think that maybe a 12" -14" straight or a couple of smaller round ones would be sufficient for your tank...I have a large aquarium and I use 4 of the largest ones around, but, they do not always bubble like they should...I love bubbles and will put in more than is really necessary, but, remember the more oxygen you have the healthier the fish and water they will live in. Will this work in a 10 gallon tank for a betta and bristlenose catfish?
- I have it in with my dogs and they are kept around 15 gallons of water in a much larger tank. At first there's not to many bubbles that come off it but over time it improves. I've had it for around a week now and at its rate now I'd say it would work great in a 10 gallon.
