Do not buy this product!

After assembling the product, pretty easy to do, and putting my tank into it (55g) there is a large gap around the center of the tank. I am pretty angry at this because now I have to either disassemble the entire thing and take it back. Or find a way to support it. I’m going to get a few wooden boards to act as support but I am not happy with this purchase. And for $100 you’d think this would be up to standard

No, I do not recommend this product.

Do NOT buy 55 Gallon Imagitarium Stand

Robeng

First 55 gallon Imagitarium stand I bought the screw holes did not line up. Took it back and got new one. I put a 1/2 inch thick board I painted on top of stand and then put on my 55 gallon aquarium. Now 1.5 years later the ends of the cross bars are bowing (could not add Pics) and twice I have heard one loud popping noise as if a metal thread was jumping the tapped hole. I called Imagitarium and they do not know their manufactures warranty and transferred me to their store where purchased! Futile.

55 gallon stand with a 60 gallon tank

Bought this as a replacement for my Marineland 60-gallon. It fits perfectly on the stand and all four corners are supported. The stand itself may not be the cleanest cut design, most welds, and corners are rough even sharp, still for the price and ease of assembly definitely a viable option.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good stand, like the minimalist design.

Solid basic stand. 4 out of 5 stars due to finish not being that great, and being packaged such that it got scratched in a few places. I was able to position it such that is not visible. Lots of reviews complain about the top not being level with the sides. The directions aren't that great, but if you ASSEMBLE IT UPSIDE DOWN, on a FLAT SURFACE, this is not an issue at all. Get all the hardware in loosely snugged up, then tighten the bolts for the top followed by the lower support bolts. If you try to assemble it with one of the sides on the floor as shown in the directions, it won't line up. Construction is robust and sturdy. Definitely set the stand level in the position you will set your tank up using a nice long level prior to putting the tank on it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Worst thing I've ever assembled.

The welds and the grinds on the bars are embarassing, borderline scary. Most of the hardware would NOT easily thread in due to burrs, etc inside the threaded inserts. The horizontal bars were twisted from end to end making the holes next to impossible to line up. Finally get it together and the vertical ends are slightly higher than the crossbars. The gaps between the bottom of the tank and the stand create stress points in the glass. Big no no. 5 minute assembly took well over an hour. Absolute garbage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible stand. No matter what you do the top bars are not level or lined up. Really fast way to have a shattered tank. Poor quality.

Imagitarium Brooklyn 55 Gallon Metal Tank Stand

It's a pice of junk ! One foot level screw was miss threaded, had to take stand back to store to resolve issue. Then noticed tank was only supported on 4 conners with gap I could see thru after filling tank! I had to make shims to support the tank all way around ! So it was too late to empty tank for reasons, once I have a chance I will replace this stand. Shame on Petco and Imagitarium!

Rusted quickly

Started rusting quickly. The bolts, the welds, even the chrome feet. Come on, Petco, this is a stand for a large box of water and you didn't think it would ever get wet? Or build it with rust resistant materials?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can I put a 55gallon ontop and a 40-29gallon on bottom

  1. Hi Laurito, Good day! It is only designed to hold only one tank, that is 55 gallon on the top. Thanks

can I put a 55 gallon tank on the top and a 29 gallon tank on the bottom?

  1. Hello a 55 gallon tank is 48 inches. Your stand should have at least 30 inches of room below to accommodate a 29 gallon tank.

Just put a Top Fin 55 gallon on this tank and & see that there is a gap between the tank & stand under the entire front & back. It is only resting fully on the two end sides & corners. Is this how it is suppose to be? Worried to fill & the support.

  1. Hi KodiakJack. Good day! We sent you an email about this. Thanks,

I would like to stain wood shelves for the top and bottom, and have 2 29gls on it with space for knickknacks on either sides. Will the bottom shelf support a 29gl?

  1. Probably. All that secures the crossbars is it single bolt. But the top bars support a 55 gallon. So, the bottom ones should be able to support a 29.

Will the Aqueon 55 Gallon LED Aquarium Kit fit on this stand and not stick? The dimension of the aquarium is 55.38 X 14.5 with is longer and wider than 48X13.5 but it seems other people use this combo and they fit perfectly. Please confirm. Thanks.

  1. I have this exact tank and your measurements are incorrect, suggest you re-measure or you do not have a 55 gallon tank.

is this a good holder for a 40 gallon tank

  1. Sure, as long as it’s within the dimensions of the stand. If your 40 gallon isn’t 48” long, then you want to keep in mind that the top of the stand has slats.

Hi! I have this stand for my 55-gallons aquarium (48x13x21 inches). I am planning to put a solid wooden base on it and use for a new 75-gallons tank with almost the same size (48x18x21) with a weigh of 850 lbs. Can this stand support the new weight?

  1. Hi EGGF, The stand will not be able to support that weight. Thanks,

What is the maxim weight capacity of the 55 gallon stand because 55 gallons is roughly around 650 lbs. Sorry I wasn't clear on which stand I was referring too. I was concerned when you did 485 but than I realized that's probably the 40 gallon tank.

  1. I am using it with a 55 gallon. I worry everyday it will break. I would not buy it again.

Whats the maximum weight capacity?

  1. My 55 gallon fit's and work's perfect in it. Also added a bracket to wall stud's so our earthquake's won't effect it.

Can this stand hold 2 55 gallon aquariums? Not filling with water 1 is for Leopard Geckos and the other for baby tortoises.

  1. Hi Pinru75, This is designed to hold only one tank, Thanks,
