How does this work? I wanted to get an air stone and I found out that I needed this tubing. But is there something I need to plug this into or something?
- The aquatic air system requires an air pump (either electric or battery), air tubing, and an air stone (to break up the flow of air coming from the pump). Most air stones have a short piece of non flexible plastic tubing attached to one end that inserts into the tubing coming from the pump, but I have purchased air stones without this feature and had to cut a 3/4” piece of rigid tubing from a longer piece I purchased at the pet store. If your air stone doesn’t have this piece already attached, I would return it and purchase one that does, as the small diameter rigid tubes can be difficult to find.
