Fish killer

DylG

I bought this stuff yesterday, added to my tank per instructions, I woke up this morning and half my fish were dead, strong fish that have been through a tank change, water changes, that I’ve had to at least a year. Grew from babies to adults, there is a fungal infection in my tank, but it wasn’t killing them fast until I used this.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Do Not Try This On Your Fish!

DO NOT GET THIS. This is a horrible product. My betta fish had a minor infection along her back by her fin. I got this to handle the last bit of infection that was stubbornly hanging onto a single spot after it had mostly cleared up. It went from a spot that had slowly been shrinking on its own to suddenly covering both sides of her body after one finished treatment round per their instructions. She was swimming and eating as normal before I started using this product. Now she lays at the bottom of her hospital tank and won't eat. Her scales are flaking off. I'm now having to treat her with malachite green and a synthetic slime coat additive to try and save her. I repeat: Do Not Try This. It will not work and will only cause more harm!

Hi there, while using the dosage do I need to make a new batch of water and add the drops to the new water or can I just add the correct dosage into the tank water?

  1. Hi Tatertot95,. Good day! You can add correct dosage to the current water. If you do perform a water change while treating, add the correct amount to the new water. Thanks,

Do I need to reduce the dosage in order for this product to be safe for scaleless freshwater fish?

  1. Hi Bad Fish Mom, Good day! Regular dosage can be used on scaleless fish. Thanks,

I just completed a 3 day course and my Betta is about 90% better with his cloudy eye/pop eye but not 100%. Can I do more treatments? What is the recommended treatment after the every other day for 3 days treatment?

  1. Hi hpchickenmama, Good day! Yes a second round of treatment can be applied. We would recommend a 50% water change before starting. Thanks,

What is the active ingredient in Imagitarium bacterial infection remedy

  1. Hi Dannymitchell, Good day! The active ingredients are Citrus Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Neem Oil. Thanks,

Will this treat dropsy in betta fish?

  1. Hi rex7567 Good day! It depends on the severity of the dropsy. If caught early, it will help alleviate. Ensure water quality is good as poor water quality will prevent any treatment from being effective. Thanks,

The products says to use every other day.  I have one betta in a 10 gallon tank.  Do I keep the carbon filter out on the days I am not putting medication in the tank or the entire time? Also, I read that some people did water changes before each dose?

  1. Hi Honey1234, Good day! Yes, the filter can remain in the tank. Thanks,

Can this product be used with a snail in the tank?

  1. Hi Ukiyo, Yes, safe when used as directed. Thanks,

Will this help with Popeye in a beta fish?  Bottle says it should.

  1. yes! just gave my louie his last treatment and it’s nearly gone! after the first day he was already showing signs of improvement

Does this have oxytetracycline in it? I was told to use that to help my fish with swim bladder.

  1. Hi Erin53, Active Ingredients - Citrus Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Neem Oil, Swim bladder disease can be caused by several things including parasites, constipation, bacterial infection etc. If bacterial, the Bacterial Remedy can help if not too advanced. We would recommend getting your water quality tested and do water changes to fix if necessary. We would recommend treating with the Bacterial Remedy, in case the cause is bacterial, along with the Imagitarium Aquarium Salt. Thanks,

Does this product contain any ingredients that contain amines?

  1. Hi King2786, Imag-Bacterial Remedy Active Ingredients - Citrus Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Neem Oil, Imag-Parasite Remedy Active Ingredients - Citrus Oil, Tagetes Oil, Neem Oil Thanks,
