I bought this ornament years ago for my betta fish. The last two bettas I had suffered awful injuries to their scales that resulted in their deaths due to this ornament. They got stuck in one of the openings that was too small for them and severly injured themselves on the rough edges trying to get out. I didn't figure out it was due to this ornament until it was too late for my last betta. Please DO NOT BUY for bettas or any fish larger than an adult betta!

This is smaller than i was expecting but a good price at least. It's a bit fragile so if you dropped it from head height I'm expecting it would chip. It sinks well into aquarium water and stays still at the bottom so it has just enough weight without being heavy. It looks cute and also gives a place for good bacteria to grow.

The guppies LOVE it, especially at night, as a little rest spot.

I guess it depends on which one you end up receiving... We got the square castle and although the outside of the swimmy holes are smoothed, the entire inside of the castle feels like it would be a torture chamber for your fish! I am not exaggerating! Sharp edges everywhere. Also, this is definitely made for really small fish. The biggest opening is .65" x .75". We intended to put it in our betta tank, but he definitely will not be able to fit through any of the openings.

I bought one of these for my 3 gal betta tank (that includes 2 little shrimp). it’s cute, not too good, the shrimp hide in it and my betta female swims through it once in a while. The edges on the inside are not rounded off - very sharp - could potentially hurt the fish’s fins if they’re big enough. Looks great in my aquarium :)

This has sharp edges inside and my fish got stuck. In trying to free himself, it sliced him open and killed him.

Midnight loves it I’ve catches him hiding in and laying up top on it then exploring the inside going threw all the doors in it

My female Betta absolutely loves this castle. whenever she isn’t exploring, she’s resting inside of it.
