DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

The instructions are incorrect which lead to death of my fish. It should be 1/2 teaspoon of salt per gallon, NOT TABLESPOON!!! This mistake will quickly kill your fish as it did mine. I am extremely unhappy with this product and the money and fish lost due to this error.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I got this because what I needed was not in the store. This store has always been in need of some real true workers that know what is going on and things need to be in stock . Also it would be helpful if a person wouldn't have to go find someone to check out. it is never anyone in front to assist the customers. I have reported this a number of times over the past five or more years .

Yes, I recommend this product.

Can you use this salt in a brine shrimp hatchery?

  1. I don’t have experience w/ hatching but I remember reading on it & sea salt is required. I think buying “marine salt” is more accurate. Please double check.

I read the question stating that the only ingredient is salt, however I'm having trouble with brown algae and wanted to make sure that there was no silica.

Could this work in a small bowl inside a terrariam for Land Hermit crabs?

    1. Hi CaraB, We would recommend using a Salt product designed for hermit crabs such as the below two items: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-saltwater-glub-for-hermit-crabs https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/zoo-med-hermit-crab-salt-water-conditioner. Thanks,

When and how many times I need add this salt.?

    1. Hi Gabygaby Usage would depend on what your intention is on the use. It can be added occasionally, for support of live bearers or as a treatment for certain diseases. It’s important to keep in mind salt should not be added for tanks with snails, most inverts or most live plants and excessive salt can be detrimental. The basic directions for this product is 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons. Thanks,
