Bought this air pump for a bubble wall and after a few months of use i noticed the air hose changing color at the base of where the air pump is and found it odd. Tonight i turned off the air pump and looked closer and realized the air pump is running so hot it is burning the hose! If i did not catch this now im pretty sure my home would of burnt to the ground im so angry this pump is such a safety hazard and was really loud and noisy too. Cant believe this company would sell something like this i could of lost my home and everything with it!

No, I do not recommend this product.

This air pump has two outlets. It does a good job aerating the sponge filters on my large saltwater aquarium.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Flooded kitchen - sucked water not pushed air

For something that is suppose to pump air into a tank it certainly changes directions fast and pumped water out of the tank everywhere - about 10 gallons! Water flooded the power strip which got all the wires smoking before shutting off - thank goodness. But scared my young teen who walked into the mess after school. Product is defective and should not be sold now that I see what we experienced is a common occurrence. Shame on you PetCo for selling this extremely dangerous product.

UN-NATURALLY LOUD

Worst bubbler I've ever bought and I've had a tank on and off for 20 years. 1. It is loud super loud then sometimes quiet but mostly super loud and the hose keeps popping off and you cannot see how far you've gotten the hose pushed down so who knows if it's even on far enough. I don't recommend this AT ALL

Tubing pulls out

Bigmad

The pump (only been using about a month) pushed the tubing lose, which caused 20 gallons of water to leak from my tank to my hardwood flooring. We were not home during the time, so all the water went under the flooring, so we are going to have major problems to deal with, along with almost killing my axolotls. We had an issue with it before and replaced the tubing, but clearly not the issue. This little device caused a heck of a mess and going to cost us.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can the small white cotton filters under the pump( that filters air) be purchased?

  1. Hi Dave 1954, Good Day! Unfortunately, there are no replacements available for these air filters. Typically, you can rinse with warm water and airdry to clean out the dust that collects over time. Thanks

How can I get the airline to stop wiggling out on its own? The rubber grommet where the airline attaches to the pump itself doesn't hold it well at all. It falls out on its own. Is there a trick to getting it to stay?

  1. rought the connections up a little... so it doesnt reverse out...the connection points are smooth hard plastic.

Where is the air flow regulator located

  1. There isn't one! You would have to buy a separate control valve that goes in the airline so control air flow.

How many diaphragms does the 100 4outlet pump have?

  1. Hi Clsjh6, Good day! It has two diaphragms. Thanks,

Would this pump be too harsh for my betta tank? (20~ gallon) Should I add an air control clip?

  1. Hi JeffereyTheBetta, You can add an air control valve or if they still feel it’s’ too strong we have smaller air pumps available as well. Here is one for 20G tank like you have. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/tetra-whisper-aquarium-air-pump-for-20-gallon-aquariums Thanks,

What are the liters per minute of air on this?

As others in the reviews have stated, the hose gets pushed off the pump daily. I thought about clamping the hose onto the fitting, but the connection is hidden inside the housing. Can this be fixed or is this a fatal product design flaw?

    1. As was mentioned earlier the tubing has a lubrication to aid in attaching to the pump or air stone.  What I did was dip the tubing in rubbing alcohol which acts as a solvent that removes the lubricant.  I also used sand paper on the pump outlet tube which roughs up the smooth plastic surface.  The tubing has never detached.

What size tank is this product recommended for?

    1. 10 to 30 gallons but there are other sizes too.

please is someone know where filter should go???

    1. Hi Arianna77, This air pump is placed outside the tank with an airline and air stone attached for inside the tank. Thanks,

Can the pump housing hang on the tank?

    1. Hi Onesilverfox It does not come with any hanging accessories. Thanks,
