Love the thickness of the glass, but the silicone seal was bad. Filled the tank to test for leaks - no leaks, BUT there was visible condensation inside every seal. Accident waiting to happen! Where one piece of glass butts up against another, there should be nothing but silicone between - no air! I’m returning this one, and will try again. I’m a little apprehensive about the next one, because there’s no way to check the bottom seals for this issue - hopefully if the sides are good, the bottom will be too.

I love this tank. The glass is thick and there wasn't leakage or issues with the tank at all. It's definitely a show piece due to the height of it.

I bought one for a salt water tank. Not only are they super easy to drill for bulkheads they are durable. They are made well. They have a lip for a lid or lighting. The tanks dimensions give you height and width. They work great. The price is great also. I’ve set up a lot of fish tanks over the years and you can not beat the price on this tank. This tank has served me well.

I don't write reviews often but I am so happy with this aquarium and it deserves a review. It looks a lot nicer than our last 55 gallon aquarium that eventually started leaking. There is none of the black framing on the sides and that makes it much more enjoyable to look at. Also this one is a little taller than the last one and the fish seem to really enjoy it.

I purchased this 55 gallon tank hoping for the best. However there are vertical chemical streaks all over the inside of the glass. As soon the sides get wet you can see all of these marks. I used multiple different things to try and elimate the lines and nothing works. I find it hard to believe the tank is even safe for my turtle. Very disappointing.

When my second Aqueon 55 gal tank leaked and caused damage, I went to Petco to buy another just to hold me over until I could purchase a reliable product. When I got there they had their Store brand Imagitarium which is made so much better than the Aqueon. The glass is thicker and the silicone on the seams appears to be so much better. It looks like Petco is phasing out Aqueon for obvious reasons. If you search online about Aqueon, so many people have had bad experiences with leaks immediately or shortly after being set up. The only thing that was a bit of a hassle is that the dimensions of the Imagitarium tank is slightly different requiring new covers and extending canister filter hoses because it’s about 3 inches taller. I think this tank is going to last.

Thickness of trim may limit what equipment can hang on the back.
