Questions
On the source side of the manifold, it looks like the hose nipple that feeds the manifold can be removed, revealing threads. Is this true, and if so, what size threads are they?
Can I used this to add other bubbles in my 40 gallon breeder aquarium
- As long as you have an air pump that is strong enough to power more than one device. This splits the air amongst up to 4 different devices. For instance, I have this 4 way splitter check valve splitting the air from a 100 gallon air pump into 1 sponge filter, 1 box filter, and 2 air stones in a 40 gallon breeder. It works because the air pump is blowing enough air to power all 4. If I had a 10 gallon air pump it would seem like the splitter isn't working, when in reality there just isn't enough air to flow thru all ports at the same time. If you plan on hooking an air pump to this, and it is also running the filter for your 40 gallon breeder, I suggest you make sure you also have an air pump rated suitable for at least 60 gallons. That way it can power the 40g filter just fine and have 20g worth of power left to blow for a few other things. A few other benefits of this splitter check valve: 1) You will be able to adjust the flow of air for each device. 2) It has a built in check valve that helps prevent your tank from being drained (flooding the room) if the electricity goes out. That in itself is a reason to buy it. I hope this helped.

Can this be used as a water valve to control drip system for reptiles
- Hi Roda, This is not recommended for use as a water valve drip system for reptiles. Thanks,

I am having a problem making it work. Most of the air just goes through the first valve and just a trickle out the second, no matter how much I turn either valve.
- Several factors can effect the air flow. If the air stones are mismatched, one may be more restricting than the other causing the pressure to follow path of least resistance through the other stone. Much in the same way, depth can effect the flow of air. Given one stone that is shallower than the other stone, the pressure will favor the shallower stone. Ensure all air lines are free of any kinks or pinch points that may cause restriction. Try closing the valve that normally flows better completely to see if flow improves out the other line, then just barely open that valve back up until flow is equal. Lastly it could be that your pump is underpowered for the application you have set up. If the pump total volume or pressure is too low then it may be that there just isn't enough air in the system to reach your desired effect.
