External Care: Use a soft cloth and ammonia-free glass cleaner to keep outside of aquarium clean. Replace filter media every 2-4 weeks. Internal Care: Change 10-25% of aquarium water every 2-4 weeks, or as needed. Scrub aquarium wall with appropriate glass scrubber to reduce algae growth. Evaporation is common. Ensure water level is maintained.

I have this tank about 6 months for the same price i think they look nicer than the aqueons the glass seems higher quality. Yes their dimensions are different then the aqueons. And reviews complaining about not having a lid for it. I have now 3 of these tanks all with the imagitarium lids they sell in the store idk how they can't find the lids the store i go too is a tiny town too so they usually have way less stock than other petcos ive been too. Its a bare minimum aquarium i always buy these on sale just like ive done with the aqueon tanks nothing super fancy it holds water ive had no problems with it yet(anything can happen happens with tanks 10x the price too).

I bought this tank in June didn't get it set up until mid July came home today to it leaking, called petco they said we only garente our aquariums for 30 days but we have them on sale right now. So I went and picked up another one 5 hours draining and setting up the new aquarium to see its leaking as well,. No i do not recommend this product. I am so frustrated now I have to figure out what im going to do.

Decent tank but check filter compatibility
Decent tank but due to the thicker lip around the top, it is not compatible with our Aqueon QuietFlow LED PRO 10 filter (opening can't slide into place) and had to get a new one

The aquarium is sturdy, durable, and has great caulking, which is reassuring. The aquarium does not use standard measurements, so you need to use imagitarium lid. I also purchased the imagitarium light. The length is 30.19 x 14.3 height x 12.4 width. I like that the tank is a bit taller than a standard 20 long because I have a planted aquarium with tall plants in the back. The tank and glass are durable and overall I am pleased with the tank.

What model filter works with this tank. I have the tank and the top/hood - both are great. I can't find a filter that fits between the top/hood opening and the back side of the tank. The opening is too small even without the plastic extension bar on.
- We’ve been through a lot of filters. Some hanging on the outside and some in the tank. After lots of learning this is the best filter.. see link. Make sure you read the description and get the items that go with it. Air pump, tubing, etc Get the course and the small is the correct size for the 20 gallon. It’s actually pretty cheap and it works better than everything we’ve tried!!! Whats a good lid to purchase for this tank, ive seen people complaining about the glass lid that is made for this tank saying its too small.
- Because I am using it for a ball python, I bought the screen top and the clips for securing it. Probably not the best answer if you are using it as a fish tank.

- No, but you can purchase one separately. I got one from Amazon for about $25.00 and it really adds a level of class. You can easily fit all your accessories by cutting out little spaces in the soft plastic that comes with it. I really love the look.

PETCO! You can't answer a simple question, twice! People want the depth. There are three dimensions: length, WIDTH (aka DEPTH), and height. We see the height (14.13 IN). We see the length (30.19 IN). We need the DEPTH (front to back)! Get it right!!
- It’s 12 7/16 inches exactly, front to back, at the widest point of the black frame. Call it 12.5” and that gives you an 1/8 of wiggle room. 20 longs are roughly 30” long X 12” deep across all major manufacturers.
