I bought this 4 hours ago, the box appeared as if the 20 gallon stand had been returned once before..despite this I carried on. Once home, it was easy to assemble until I got to the ONE BOLT that wasn't like the others.. "Not machined properly" I believe is the technical term. It really looked like someone had returned this before. And there's clearly no quality check going on where these are made. And it's a very large pain to find that out when you're attempting to build it and setup in a day. I'm attempting to upload a photo of the bolt.

Stand is perfect for limited space. Looks great & does it's job.

I purchased one of these last year and was satisfied enough with it, the tank doesn’t completely touch the base at every point but it was close. However I now purchased another and this time the gapping was far worse between the tank and the base. No matter how I messed with the screws nothing would get it to sit evenly. Ended up returning along with the 29 version I bought of this too, which had a visible bump on the metal base area where the tank would sit making it unusable. Clearly quality control is an issue with these and I’m not risking cracking tanks on uneven bases, nor continuing to waste time buying more of these and returning until I might eventually find an okay one, and I recommend you don’t either.

I love this stand. Its sleek and out of the way . However I bought the 55 gallon stand and could not put it together

I had to return the original stand because after I had it all put together the last two screws would not go into it’s appropriate position. I realized after several attempts that the holes were not aligning. I returned the item and was given a new box, same issue. Welding is not done properly on the stand, poor workmanship.

It was ok. The factory welds were a little uneven, which was a little upsetting.

This is a great stand! Easy to assemble and seems very solid. I wanted the metal stand instead of the wood for obvious reasons, but I wanted a shelf. I cut and notched a 24 x 12 shelf ($9 at Home Depot) and now I have a shelf. I'm not going to put any real weight on it, because the stand wasn't designed for it, but for my test kit and a few chemicals, it's perfect!
