lock is not secure enough

This is a sturdy door, relatively easy to install and it's easy for our 2 cats to use, but the locking system is ineffectual. It's only a matter of time before they figure out how to unlock it themselves. We have found the one that works the best is the one that locks from the inside but not the outside, that is not ideal as there are other cats in the neighbourhood so we wanted to be able to lock it completely.
No, I do not recommend this product.
