Suggested Amount to Feed per Day Based on Weight of Cat: 4lbs. = 1/4 - 1/3 cup; 8lbs. = 1/3 - 1/2 cup; 12lbs. = 1/2 - 2/3 cup; 16lbs. = 2/3 - 3/4 cup; 22lbs. = 3/4 - 1 cup. These guideline amounts are a starting point and your cat may need more food depending upon age, activity and temperament. In order to reach optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. This represents the total recommended volume of food per day. You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your cat per day to get the actual portion size per feeding. Because IAMS HEALTHY SENIOR cat food is complete and balanced for maintenance, you do not need to add vitamin or mineral supplements. When introducing IAMS cat food, gradually mix it with your cat's current food over the course of 4 days.

We have 1 1/2yr old Ragdoll female. At a steady 8.6 pounds/small frame. Area in front of back legs seems a little skinny. A couple of internet sites seems to suggest IAMS Proactive Health, Healthy Kittens is ok for adults to gain weight in view of it's extra protein and fat. Is that ok for 8.6 lb female.
What kind of dry cat food can I give our 8-year-old part Maine Coon that will keep her from getting hairballs? She just threw up the IAMS Proactive Health brand I bought yesterday. No hairball, just undigested food.
Which dry food is best for an indoor, seven year old cat, low in calories?
My 14 year old cat has IBS. What dry and moist foods do you recommend?
What brand of dog food do you recommend for 6-8 yr olds? Thanks.
Trying to get my elder cat to eat a senior diet lower in phosphorus for less stress on kidneys!Tried royal canin aging 12+, hills science 7+& 11+, Purina pro plan 11+..he really doesn't like any of them. The one he likes most is the pro plan but it has the most phosphorus of them all at 1.54% dry matter. any other suggestions?I've tried some senior rx diets too that he won't stick with. I know any food is best for his kidneys of course than no food but I just want to get him on a proper food. Thx
Best senior wet dog food for my 14 miniature poodle?
What food is good for cats who are five years old ?
Senior Ferrel cat is getting thin and not eating as much. Appears to be getting thin and losing muscle mass, trouble climbing fence. Unable to approach, but comes by twice a day. looking for a food that may help.
Should active adult cats 13+yrs. be on an adult cat food and why? What are the benefits?
I am on my last bit of adult 1-7 dry food for my cat, so I sent my father out to get some more. I went to go feed her this morning, only to find out this was the senior formula. I am unsure what to do at this point. Would it still be okay to feed her this food, considering she is four years old?
Dry food recommendations please
