Suggested Amount to Feed per Day Based on Weight of Cat: 4lbs. = 1/4 - 1/3 cup; 8lbs. = 1/3 - 1/2 cup; 12lbs. = 1/2 - 2/3 cup; 16lbs. = 2/3 - 3/4 cup; 22lbs. = 3/4 - 1 cup. These guideline amounts are a starting point and your cat may need more food depending upon age, activity and temperament. In order to reach optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. This represents the total recommended volume of food per day. You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your cat per day to get the actual portion size per feeding. If you have a kitten, pregnant or nursing cat, we recommend feeding IAMS kitten food. Remember to have clean, fresh water available for your cat at all times. Because IAMS HEALTHY SENIOR cat food is complete and balanced for maintenance, you do not need to add vitamin or mineral supplements. When introducing IAMS cat food, gradually mix it with your cat's current food over the course of 4 days.

We have 1 1/2yr old Ragdoll female. At a steady 8.6 pounds/small frame. Area in front of back legs seems a little skinny. A couple of internet sites seems to suggest IAMS Proactive Health, Healthy Kittens is ok for adults to gain weight in view of it's extra protein and fat. Is that ok for 8.6 lb female.
Which dry food is best for an indoor, seven year old cat, low in calories?
Best senior wet dog food for my 14 miniature poodle?
I am on my last bit of adult 1-7 dry food for my cat, so I sent my father out to get some more. I went to go feed her this morning, only to find out this was the senior formula. I am unsure what to do at this point. Would it still be okay to feed her this food, considering she is four years old?
What food is good for cats who are five years old ?
Should active adult cats 13+yrs. be on an adult cat food and why? What are the benefits?
She is not eating the Natural chicken and sweet potato cans I ordered. She is almost 14 years old. I have tried most of the Senior diet but the chicken and barley makes her belly bloat. She eats canned but due to several teeth removed cannot eat dry. She is a dachshund of normal weight and good health. She is still an active walker.
I have a sixteen year old cat who has very dry stools and difficult time using litter box. Otherwise she seems fine. Suggestions needed.
My senior cat (14) stopped eating his regular dry cat food. I did try a couple new different kinds but he just wanted wet food. Now he seems to bore of that quickly so I have switching up brands. Is there a certain brand/flavor you recomend? I went from Friskies to Iams. Now he is eating Fancy Feast. I just don't know what's best to do.
Best dog food for senior German shepherd
13 y/o male cat with hyperthyroidism. Need recommendation for affordable dry cat food.
My male cat is almost 14. I know he is starting kidney problems due to the extra water he drinks at this point. and a bit thinner. lots of energy still. I read they need at least 50% protein, I give him wet and dry which i know is not good, but lots of wet and freeze dried chicken too, vit with dig enzymes. Can you suggest the best Wet high protein food and anything else from Petco?
