Great for rimless aquariums/sumps

I bought this after watching a couple reviews online. It seemed like it would work for my setup. The tank I'm using it on is an Aqueon 40g Breeder standard rimmed glass aquarium. There is no way to mount the sensor that goes in the tank without modifying either the mount or the tank's rim. The magnetic suction cup mount system mounted as high as possible in the tank underneath the rim will result in a very low water level in the tank. You would not have this issue with a rimless tank and it would work better. I ended up cutting away a small section of the plastic aquarium rim to fit the sensor in better and got it to work. After that, when you plug it in, it will calibrate and light up all the lights. When done, it will trigger a separate (non-included) water pump via its electrical outlet to turn on when water falls below the min sensor. When water gets above the max sensor it will turn off the pump. As long as you have the sensor mounted in a low-flow area that doesn't fluctuate a lot from things like a wave maker, it should work fine for a long time due to the corrosion resistant housing the sensor is in. I do feel there is a little too much distance between triggering the min and max sensors, but it is what it is.

Yes, I recommend this product.
