Place both thumbs on top of the tear strip and push to break the seal, then pull down the tear strip and repeat on the other side. Open the shell and twist the Stall Snack to remove. Sometimes when the weather is very cold the plastic packaging can become more brittle and difficult to open, in this situation carefully cut down the tear strip with a pair of scissors and then follow the steps as before. Place treat on green "stem" reassemble holder and snap hook. Hang at least 5 ft. from floor and 3 ft. from wall. Recommended intake is up to 300g (10.6 oz.) per head per day. Store under cool dry conditions, away from direct sunlight. 2 year shelf life.

Bought for horses in drylot during the winter (out on pasture rest of year). They have zero interest in these, even putting it in feed pan with grain they don't lick these.

Horses loved it!

It is great for entertaining a bored horse. My problem is, mine figured out how to devour it no matter how high I hang it. They bite it and have just about destroyed the holder as well.

Only lasts a few hours

Thought these would be great for the horses to snack on - however they can eat them in a few hours or less. For the money they do not last long.

My horse loves this! The only thing that is somewhat of a downside is that my horse loved it so much that he licked it till it was gone within two days!!! I'll definitely be purchasing another refill and possibly hanging the toy a little differently so that he can't luck as easily... Hopefully!

Horse Loves It

My horse really loves these. They don't last too long...but this is partially because I don't have a place where I can hang it that is away from the wall. She has a super easy time getting it pinned and it only lasts a couple days.

All 3 of my horses would not touch it

I bought this for my mare because she was licking me so much. She wouldn't touch it even though she loves real apples, so I gave it to my colt that loves to put everything in his mouth. He never touched it either, which is shocking since he loves licking salt licks and biting dog toys in his stall. I finally gave it to the gelding who likes to play with things and lick salt blocks, but he hated it too. I finally tried it, and it tasted like a sugar free jolly rancher, pretty tasty actually. I don't know why the horses didn't like it, all I can say is 3/3 hated it. Someone in my barn has the peppermint flavor and her horse hates it too. I've had good luck with lickits in the past with other horses, so I think I'll try those again.
