I purchased the Jolly Hay Ball as entertainment for my young gelding and it has certain fit the bill! I stuff it tight with hay and hide carrot or treats inside. Hanging it in a position that it would move easily upped the challenge and adding a snap made it possible for me to remove and fill easily. It takes him 20-30 minutes of consistent effort to empty the ball and search for the treats when they fall. All in all, great toy.

I am excited that there is a new equine toy on the market! As soon as I saw it, I snatched it up, stuffed it full of hay and larger cookies, and tried it out on my playful gelding. It didn’t take him long to investigate and eat everything out of the Jolly Hay Ball. Even though he has his hay bag and hay ball feeder, he deemed it fun to try out this new hay-filled device!
