Hi, I need advice for some good supplements or something else for skin and hair,my cat's fur looks fine but is very thin,he doesn't have his usual winter coat (all my cats are with very big winter coats, only his hair is not enough), since some days he scratches his body a lot and today I found little bald spot on his tail,I use Salmon fish oil but it doesn't help much, the only hair supplement that helps him content only liver and glucose, and I don't know if it's safe for daily long use, thanks.
Riley has what seems like very dry skin lately, she itches and chews at her side/legs/ears a lot. We have tried giving her fish oil and coconut oil, as well as Benadryl, to help with the itching and re growing hair she chews out. are there any product recommendations to help with her itching, or growing fur back?
I believe my 8 year old male cat has miliary dermatitis. He is an indoor cat and we also have an 8 year old female dog. Can you recommend a home remedy for the dermatitis. And a recommendation for flea prevention for cats. Thank you very much.
Itching for 3months now been to vet tried meds tried nes anti itch shampoo and spray . I think we need to change to fish based foods?
My 8 month old kitten is currently on Prednisone 1ml (2x daily for 1 week, now on 1x daily for 1 week, then every other day for 1 week) for constant itching/grooming/scratching. My vet thinks he has an allergy to something in his environment. We're trying to figure out what - He's going back to the vet in 2 weeks. But now I just noticed a small area under his nostrils that has a chunk of skin missing and it looks raw. What could the cause of this be? Should I be concerned?
I have a female cat 5yrs old. She weighs approx 5 lbs at best. Inside cat. I month ago started itching constantly it seems. Raw areas around her neck and face where she has itched and bit. I have a male cat 2yrs old and a dog unaffected. I have treated her with frontline but i dont see fleas.
One of our cats, 6 year old Molly gets seasonal allergies. Today she started itching and biting at herself. We see no flea she on her, but we found one flea while combing one of our other 4 cats. A vet appt. has been made for Monday morning, when we we take Molly and get Revolution drops for all. In the meantime, can I give Molly a tiny dose of children's Benadryl to relieve her itching? She is miserable Thank you
Can I put cortisone on my cats skin. He has a little spot (itchy) that is red and irritated.
Hello! How do I get my dog to stop scratching and itching. My vet gave him a chew to help get rid of fleas and prescribed an allergy med for 20 day’s but he’s still very itchy. And I am now getting itchy but don’t find any fleas on him. Please help :(
My Dog has had red irritating skin. It is scabby and itchy. I've used itch sprays, topical creams, flea shampoo and drops. Apple cider vinegar, but this poor thing has no relief. Advice on what step to take next?
Hello, My cat has food and environmental allergy. We got good cat food for her and she is ok during cold season. From Spring to Fall is worst, she is very itchy, especially her ears and face area. We got steroids injections for her and it worked, but we do not want her to keep on steroids all the time. Any "ANTIHISTAMINES AVAILABLE “OVER-THE-COUNTER” would work for cats. Which one would be the best for my cat to treat outdoor allergies? Please help!
Can I give my 6 year old cat some of my Hydroxyzine for his itching and scratching?
